Hope you are having good time and enjoy too! As for me am doing well. Please join me as I draw your attention to the theme: developing children creativity using card board.
WHAT COMES TO YOUR MINDS WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD "CARDBOARD"?
Cardboard is a heavy paper material used in producing many things e.g cratf works like carton, fan,house and car etc.
TYPES OF CARDBOARD AND THEIR USES
- Corrugated fiberboard,a.k.a 'cardboard box
- Mat board
- Paperboard, a.k.a 'carton'
USES
- ART: As lover of art I use cardboard to train kids who love craft.
- STOREGE: Since I have a lot of art items,I used it to store and organize corrugated cardboard boxes can be very convenient.
- SCHOOL:In school as a teacher, corrugated cardboard boxes are very perfect for dioramas or I used it to create an inexpensive display board for a project.
- FURNITURE: Corrugated cardboard is sturdy enough for me to make furniture.
- GARDENING:I used it as mulch to discourage weeds in my small garden as a result of creativity
WHAT IS CREATIVITY?
Creativity can defined as the ability to put something into existence, to design, to invest something with a new form and shape.
WHY IS CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN?
Creativity plays an important role in developing preschooler confidence, language, Physical and thinking skills, imagination and emotional understanding.e.g art and craft activities encourage self-expression anl decision making.
WHAT I DO WITH MY CREATIVE EXPERIENCE
With my creative experiences I have help children to express and cope with their feelings. Creativity provides opportunities for them to have new ideas, and new ways of thinking and solving problems.
HOW I DEVELOPED CREATIVITY IN CHILDREN
- I designate a space for their creativity.
- I started with simple work based on their age.
- I allowed free time for them because it is important to give a child unstructured time so that so they can be free to express them selves.
- I also discussed creative critical thinking with the children.
- I helped them pursue their passion.
- Finally,I took time for my own creativity.
WHY I DEVELOPED CHILDREN'S CREATIVITY
A child's creativity has helped me as a teacher to learn more about what the child may be thinking or feeling.creativity has fosters mental growth in children by providing opportunities to invest new ideas, and new ways of doing things

- Crayons
- Pencil
HOW DEVELOPING CREATIVITY IN CHILDREN BENEFITTED THEM
With the use of cardboard,the children's creative activities helped them to have their intellectual and cognitive development.Their thinking ability has been develoed
They are able to solve their imaginative problems they develoed and they have proper concentration added with thinking ability.
CONCLUSION
Since helping children to develop their creativity can add value to my knowledge,I will always be available to teach kids and develop their creativity so that they too can grow even better than me.
