Hello beautiful steemkids and kids lovers it is my pleasure to welcome you all to my blog today and today, I'm going to explain what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM

It is an act of using someone else work as your own without the consent of the person. Plagiarism can also be considered as theft or fraud, yes stealing of people work, ideas or products. Therefore, it is an act that should not be considered by any steemit users.

WAYS YOU CAN PLAGIARIZED

  • Copying and pasting information from someone

  • copying quote in your write-up without giving credit to the original owner.

  • Using another person photos (e.g from internet) without the permission of the owner or acknowledging the owner.

  • Not properly citing your source

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

There's are different types of plagiarism let's consider them

  • DIRECT OR INTENTIONAL; As the name implies, it is an act of copying a direct word to word of a person work without giving credit to the rightful owner.

  • MOSAIC OR UNINTENTIONAL; In this case, the writer seek the consent of the person he or she is referring to but fail to include quotation mark

  • SELF PLAGIARISM; This is so common, copying your own writing, your own sayings.

  • ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM; it's happens when you write your own word buy coincidentally another person had that same writings before but whatever the cas, plagiarism is plagiarism.

WHY IT IS NOT ACCEPTED IN STEEMIT

Steemit works on proof of brain concept, which simply means providing or creating your own original quality contents , so this requires your own creative ideas. Therefore, it is prohibited in steemit, more to that, steemit has consequences if you are caught plagiarising in steemit. Also, Steemkids community has its own consequences if you are caught plagiarising in the community, you will be muted.
