Good day to everyone in this wonderful community, i hope you are having a nice day. INTRODUCTION We uses textile fibers so many times in our daily lives and also uses them in many different ways. We make use of so many variety of fabrics both in the clothes we wear and also in items that brighten up our houses/homes such as the carpets and curtains. In a hot climate like ours, it is important to know that if we want to keep or feel cool, the fabrics we choose for our clothing is very important. CATEGORIES OF FABRICS The following is a list of the common cotton fabrics and their uses (b). LINEN: it is derive from the flax plant. Linen is also absorbent like cotton and therefore suitable for the manufacture of handkerchiefs, table linen and towels. It disadvantage is that it is very expensive to manufacture and this tends to reduce it's uses. The following is the common linen fabric and their uses (a) NYLON: It is the first man-made fiber to be manufactured. It does not conduct heat as cotton therefore very warm to wear in a hot climate. It can not be washed at a high temperature or bleached because it may damage the fiber. Thanks for reading my article.❤️

In today's world there are different types of textile available that the production and the manufacture of fabrics is a very large and very complex business.
Fabrics can be divided into two different categories;
(a). COTTON: it is the most generally used of all natural fibers.
It is derive from a cotton plant which is grown in a warm climates. The fabric is very strong and can withstand strong bleaching and detergents in the laundry, and also a good conductor of heat in which it is very comfortable to wear in a hot climate, and it is absorbent.
It is used in the manufacture of dresses, shirt, skirts, ties etc.
It is a smooth, strong, dirt-repellent fabric, like cotton which is a good conductor of heat, which makes it perfect to wear in a hot climate.
