Hello friends, I am here again to share my little opinion on the above topic that says; Should gift giving only be for a season in a year? The topic sounds so simple but it's a very sensitive question and I am going to answer this question base on my observation of gift-giving around my vicinity. Thanks to the steemit team and the steemkids and parents community for such a lively and educative contest topic, keep reading down friends.

Gift-giving: is a process of displaying affection for a particular person or a group of people in love and happiness through a presentation of a thing it could be a material, necklace, books etc. In several gift giving occassions I have experienced in the process of presentation, there are always smiles on the faces of both the receiver and the giver because it is done with joy. Gift giving is a very special thing an individual chooses or decides to give to another person. Gift-giving is most times done occasionally and the question is should it be for just a season in a year? So, keep reading down.

Not at all! Gift-giving shouldn't be just for one season rather, it can be observed or done at any time. In the concept of gift giving, two things are involved, the willingness to give and also the finance to buy or get whatsoever as a gift, giftings should not be seasonal as far as the means or finance is there. Waiting for ending of the year for example is too long as that person deserves such a gift might have forgotten about the special gift he or she deserves and at that point, it might be valueless.

There are a lot of opportunities for gifting and every year we are surrounded by such events, some of which are; Birthday celebrants could be given a congratulatory gift for another year added, weddings where the celebrants would be given a gift as they start their new home, Graduations from school or handwork also demands a chance of giftings, thanksgiving services and so on. Some people don't wait for these opportunities rather, they prefer to give surprise giftings to loved ones at any time.

We know our friends and loved ones, I mean the things they love most, the things they lack, and the ones they have in excess. Before giving a gift, I try to know what the person lacks and also the person's favorite, and to answer the above question, the suitable items that can be exchanged as gifts are:

First of all, gift giving should be done for the sake of the happiness of such a person, In gift giving, there shouldn't be an expectation for payback because especially in this case, a lot of people give gifts and also demands either a gift of that same quality or higher but in a situation where it is lesser than the gift given to you, it becomes a problem and that is why gifts should be presented with right motives.

Everyone deserves or qualifies to give gift, most people become givers today because they started in their childhood and today they are already used to it, giving becomes nothing to them so, everyone is qualified to give a gift, gift-giving is not restricted to some persons alone no! A child can decide to buy a little thing e.g a drink to say mum and dad thanks for taking care of me, so it's something.

Giftings come mostly in a surprise form to the receiver as the giver gets ready to give the receiver such gifts, I want to believe the giver is very happy to see how surprised and happy the receiver would be. It is supposing that both the receiver and the giver should feel okay and happy. Coming to the aspect of ladies, the boyfriend might buy a gift and the girlfriend might show no sign of appreciation or happiness because of how cheap it is which is totally wrong. No matter how small or little It is, happiness should exist.
