Week 5-" Your Story , Your Laughter ( Let's make everyone happy🐧🐧) "
I'm pleased to share another interesting story that will make you laugh. I was very excited when I received an alert that I was the winner of the just-concluded contest. Anyway, greetings to you @moyeon and other binding Steemians in this community.
Today, I will be sharing another interesting story here. Kindly read through:
If you go inside Emeka house, you will perceive the scent of Egusi soup like pit latrine. If you go deeper, you will see Grandma—the woman behind Emeka's smile. The house is like a short-term rectangular plane designed by various artistic engineers.
Whenever Grandma cooks, the scent of the food travels in opposite direction towards the passers-by. I was moved to come inside Emeka's house the day Grandma cooked Egusi soup. The way she package the soup. The contents like meats, fishes, periwinkles, snails and crayfish were so rich. Grandma didn't even wait for me to ask, she already had prepared my own, serve me on the new dining table Emeka bought.
Kai! Fufu was before me. I love fufu—a cassava flour, stirred in a hotly boiled water until it becomes strong. Kai! @chisom77 was beginning to answer the food call. I heard it thrice forthcoming and I didn't delay.
Egusi soup + Fufu
Kai! If you're in my shoe, I'm not sure you would ever packout from Grandma's house. Even if you are not her child, you will even want to spend the rest of your life there.
I did not even eat much, there was a cup of juice drink and water on my table. I felt like drinking my choice. I don't know how many of you had had such experience—picking from the table of your choice. And you know, when you eat food like this, your brain receives purity like never before. You look younger than your age. If you're 50, by the time you eat Grandma's Egusi soup, you'll authomatically becomes 18.
Grandma's food is everyone's pride.
Her food smells like the beautiful pit latrine in my environment built by Governor Odum Emmanuel—He is currently the Governor of Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria. Even if I'm not an indigenous Akwa Ibomite, but there's a part of my tribe that shares boundary with Akwa Ibom. Back in decades, I used to peep into Akwa Ibom tribes. I'm an Abia-n in nature.
Emeka once told me that Grandma was born in Akwa Ibom state — the most creative food state in Nigeria. And for some seconds, I ponder: maybe this could be the reason why Grandma knows how to cook very well. Because, the best Nigerian cookers are the Akwa Ibomite.
If you haven't eaten any food from this tribe. Find time to get it. Kai! Grandma would mean a lot to me that she is an Akwa Ibomite. * “No wonder, Africans love getting married to Akwa Ibomite” Grandma I'm proud of you*.
Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
🤣🤣🤣🤣no wonder,we don't have such name as Odom Emmanuel, and he is not the current governor of Akwa Ibom state. Anyways you've written well, how can grandma's egusi soup smells like a pit latrine, and how can a latrine be beautiful. I can see the sense of humor in it. Good luck dear.
Thankyou
You're welcome
