Update #5: Writing Expedition ✍️, Have Fun while Writing! The story of Akwaugo the hunchback episode 2.

Last week, I shared a story of a beautiful young lady with a hunchback called Akwaugo. Yeah, at the end of the story, I told you that she faced rejections from her mates and the village entirely. But as nature may have it, she was blessed by the Almighty God who provided for her a husband. And I assured you that their will be a continuation of the story to tell you how she was healed of her hunchback. Listen and learn from what happened to Akwaugo at the end. Just like Ibezimako promised her parents, he came with his poeple to pay Akwaugo's bride price. Later he made Akwaugo his legitimate wife. Her parents was happy and expecting to have a grandchild within 9 months time. But due to the love Ibezimako has on Akwaugo, he made enquires where Akwaugo will be cured of her hunchback. He got a native doctor in rural area who promised to cure her. So, Ibezimako went home and told his wife about his journey.

Akwaugo was super excited on hearing that. The next day, her husband took her to the native doctor where they spent 7 days before she was totally cured. She was surprised to see herself with a nice shape. On seeing the beauty of Akwaugo, the native doctor told Ibezimako.

Your wife is so beautiful and young. Hope she won't leave you after undergoing all these stress?

Ibezimako said that he doesn't think Akwaugo will thought of leaving him. So the native doctor told him.

I will share a secret with you, please don't let your wife know about it. After 1 year and she didn't leave you, then you can tell her about it.

Ibezimako agreed with him and he told him.

Don't let your wife carry a heavy object on her head. Any day she does that, the hunchback will return again. But please tell her that, any day she carries a heavy load on her head, that you Ibezimako her husband will die.

It wasn't a bad advise anyway. So, on getting home. Ibezimako told his wife.

Baby, please I love you so much and will do anything to make you happy. Don't carry a heavy object on your head if you really loves me. If you do, I will die. That's the instructions from the native doctor.

Akwaugo promised not to carry a heavy object on her head. And they kept on leaving happily.

Now that Akwaugo is sound and, young guys began to approach him. Seeking for her hand in marriage. She kept on rejecting them until a young good looking man Ifeanyi came across her. He promised to take her abroad if she marries him. He made her change her mind with flashy gifts. This time, Akwaugo always came back late hanging out with her new guy. Ibezimako became angry and warned her of her wrong steps.

But she denied of not having any affairs. Ibezimako went and report to her parents and they warned her but she couldn't listen. Because she wanted to travel abroad with Ifeanyi, she went to the bush and carry a heavy fire wood on her head. On her way back, this happened.

As she was carrying the heavy fire wood, a thunder strike and the hunchback returned immediately. She cried bitterly and run home to meet her husband. On getting home, her husband rejected her and threw her load's outside because she hasn't been at home for the past 2 days. She pleaded with Ibezimako but he refused to accept her back. She went to her parents and they rejected her. When Ifeanyi heard of her present condition, he left the country. She had no other options than to take her own life.

• Don't look for a to Kill someone who has been good to you. Akwaugo thought she will kill Ibezimako by carrying heavy object but it bounces back on her. So, we should always show appreciation and keep to agreement.

• Dont be quick to leave poeple who were with you during your bad days.

• All that glitters can never be gold. So be careful and chose wisely.
