"DIY (Do It Yourself) - let's see your creativity in various DIY skillsWeek31
This contest has made me do what I have never done before. Which is the construction of a building using cartons. This project took me a good three days to have it accomplished and I am happy to publish it today. Once again thank you @mesola for organising this contest and thank you the Steemit community for this platform.
Now my presentation
Materials used
- Cartons
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Ruler
- Evostik gum
Step 1
I began my construction by drawing the foundation on a rectangular carton. I use my ruler to take the measurement
Step 2
I took the measurements of the sides of the building. I cut them using my paper cutter and gum them on the foundation
Step 3
I cut another carton and used it to brace the two sides of the wall.
Step 4
I took another measurement for the front and back of the building. I cut them and have them gum as shown below. At this stage, I use both Evostik gum and top bond to glue the cartons
Step 5
I cut another carton of 3cm in height and gummed it around the wall to serve as the foundation of the building.
Step 6
I constructed a floor at the front of the building and the steps to climb.
Step 6
I raised pillars, and a roof over the floor and then constructed a door for entering the building
Step 8
I also constructed a floor at the side view of the building, raised pillars and roofed it. I then construct a door to serve as an entrance to the building.
Step 9
I constructed some windows in the building
Step 10
I constructed a paraphase around the building to give it a good look as I roof it.
Step 11
I darken the windows of the building using a black permanent marker.
Step 12
I constructed a few rafters to help hold the zink.
Step 13
I placed the zink on the building. I got my zink by pilling one side of the carton and then used gum as my nails.
Step 14
Finally, I put gutters on the zink to seal the connection between the zinks and to ensure that there is no leakage in the zink. I also, constructed three big windows at the back of the building.
