Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W3: Review any fun spot/play ground that the kids love to visit in your city by @bolaji001.

Greetings to all members of the @steemkidss community and to the entire Steemit platform at large. Happy new month to you all and welcome to the third week of this Season's engagement challenge. I welcome you all to my post today, where I will be reviewing a particular Play Park here in the city of Ibadan, where I currently reside as asked of us by the @steemkidss community contest.

I think for most of us if not all, crucial parts of our childhood memories are from the fun activities we engaged in at the park, the fun and quality happiness most of us had as kids while playing especially at parks is something that stays with us forever and even as grown-ups now, we still look back and reminisce the good, worry-free times :).

Play/Fun/Amusement Parks

Play parks or Fun parks or Amusement parks as some of us would call it, are very familiar to many of us if not all. There is a high chance that you, reader have been to a Play Park at least once most probably as a kid.

That out the way, you would agree with me that an Amusement Park is a place featuring various attractions, games, fun play equipment, photo booths, rides as well as other exciting events all for entertainment purposes.

For most of us, going to the park as kids taught us some of our early life lessons, the park being so free made us try out many activities. While some were successful, a number of things we tried to do went otherwise. It is expected since we were just figuring out things and how life works, the good part is that we eventually learnt from them. Many of us also learnt how to make friends also and socialize at these parks. So yeah, the Park is a really nice, free and fun place and I would only encourage parents to make it a habit to take their kids to the park once in a while as it helps their development when they socialize.

Personally, I always enjoyed going to the park as a kid. I still go to parks once in a while when I take my little brother there.

Back to our focus for the contest, I will be reviewing the Play Park inside Palms shopping mall here in the city of Ibadan.

As I have mentioned earlier, I currently reside in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. As you might know, Ibadan is one of the largest cities in whole of Africa and of course is home to a lot of business, activities, engagements and all sorts including Amusement parks, play grounds, fun spots etc. But it is the Play park inside Palms shopping mall I will be reviewing.

Palms shopping mall is home to many businesses including the well-known SHOPRITE, KFC, DOMINION PIZZA, FEMTECH etc. including a PLAY PARK which is our main focus here.

I have been to Palms shopping mall a number of times and whenever I go with my younger brother who is 6 years old, he always wants to go to the park to have fun and test out their then latest play equipment. I most times agree because I know how fun it is and how much it will satisfy his hunger for enjoyment having experienced it has a kid too plus, I see it as an opportunity to have some fun myself and reminisce child hood memories.

The Park at Palms shopping mall is a very standard one, well equipped with the latest playing equipment and technologies that's why it is no surprise that on holidays, during weekends and festive periods the park is always filled with kids and parents.

• Slides
• Swings
• See-saws
• Bouncing castle
• Merry-Go-Rounds
• Roller coasters
• Trampoline etc.

Other services at Palms shopping mall play park

Apart from the expected availability of fun/play equipment, they also have a Kiosk where one can get snacks and drinks. Standby DJ is also ever present. Also, there are security guards and equipment technicians at strategic locations to prevent any form of hazard and attend to faulty equipment.

Another reason why I like the park is that since it is in a shopping mall which requires no fee to enter, indirectly, entrance fee for the park is free. So, one only has to pay for using a particular play equipment. This is not so in some other parks I have been to; they collect both entrance fee and equipment fee.

The fee they charge to use any Play equipment at the park depends on the play equipment but I will say the price range for all play equipment is between #300 - #700 per round. Converted to Steem, that is around 2.74 - 6.39 Steem using the current conversion rate as at the time of writing.
