Challenge for Week #3 Begins: Draw a rat 🐀🐀🐀🐁🐁🐁

Good day my friends, it is another great week. Hope you are doing well.
This is another arts week in steemkids. The series have been Very interesting and wonderful.

This week, the object of attraction is the rat. So I begin by drawing a rat.

The Items needed for this drawing are

• Pencil

• Black pen

• Coloured pencil

• Eraser

• Cardboard paper

Steps

The first thing to do is to cut out the size of cardboard paper you want to use.

I am drawing rat used in the cartoon named Jerry.

You can see the processes involved in my drawing.

Describe a rat

Rats are in the family of rodents, with a pointed head, large eyes and ears covered with furs that sticks out.They also have long legs with sharp long claws

What do you like about a rat?

I would say they are smart to an extent even though they act on instinct. They also act scavengers.

However, I hate seeing rat anywhere around me because they are very destructive and can spoil so many things in the house.

They also carry some dangerous bacteria and fungi which can lead to a humans death when bitten by rat or infected in your food.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

I have seen rats so many times. In the house and around the house. These species are called Belgium rat.

Are they important to man?

Yes, they do. They act as scavengers like earlier mentioned. Serve as food in the animal ecosystem for hawks, falcons, snake, etc.
So they an important part of the food chain.

They are also used for odour detection because of their keen sense of smell.

They can also be used for detecting mines to save human lives.

Rats are also used for experimental purposes, to test out drugs before being administered on humans.

What do you like about steemit rat? Hahaha

He is everywhere but in this case on a positive note. He is not destructive as a Belgium rat.

Conclusion

It is wonderful participating in this contest.
Having seen the efficiency of rat, I.now know why one of us chose to be one hahahaha.
