Measles is one of the viral infection that mostly affect children, causes a total-body skin rash and flu-like symptoms. It is a most contagious diseases that remains active in the air or around the infected area for up to 2hours. This virus can be spread through direct contact with an infected nasal person, through sneezing, coughing or through throat secretions.

Symptoms

Measles been an infection that spreads very easily and can cause very serious problems in some people, may develop or appear symptoms from 7 to 14 after you're exposed. Symptom such as;

• High fever (as high as 105°F)

• Watery eyes (conjunctivitis)

• Cough

• Runny nose (coryza), and

• Rashes ((3-5 days after symptoms begin).

Control and prevention of a measles

Although, most people infected by measles can get better or recover by themselves but the best way to control and prevent measles is through effective Vaccination. It can also be manage or treat by a medical professional which will be recover within few days to week.

Some home remedies can also help to resolve measles such as;

• Having Rest

• Drinking a lot of fluids which includes water, fruit juices.

Note: Measles occur in babies, children and adults, so been vaccinated will help to build up the immunity and prevent measles outbreak. Therefore, be on a safe side by getting your baby, children to be vaccinated since this virus or contagious infection is a airborne disease.
