What is Socialization
Socialization is the process whereby a human being starting at infancy learn the habits, beliefs, to adjust to a group and knowledge of society expectation through training, education that can be relied upon.
Socialization is a long-life process. It requires the understanding ways of life through continuous learning of behavior, practice, pattern, culture, needs, knowing the dos and don'ts like other people in the society. Socialization has impact on a child as he/she grows.
State the significance of Socialization
- Social help and promote people in the society or group through their hard work.
It help the children to learn and understand the values, attitudes, and behaviours expected from them and the ones not expected in the society.
Socialization teaches people who belong to a particular group or society the dos and don'ts which is a good benefits to the people and the society at large.
Through Socialization individual acquires new behaviour through social interactions and direct learning from other human beings.
Socialization helps the people to function and be useful in the society, teaching how to behave, live and intract among other people.
Through socialization children learn and practice what is desire by others and earn respect in the society which they belong.
Explain the process of Socialization
The process of Socializations is a continuous procedure or method through which socialization takes place. This method took place in two forms, formally and informal method. Ways of Socialization are as follows;
Education: These process as to do with direct learning which involves formal and informal method. Children practice ways of learning, knowledge, acquired skills through homes or school.
A child or individual gain knowledge when observe and imitate peoples around him. For instance, observing and imitating movie actors and actresses television programmes or watching of video films, through their parents, friends, playmate, peer.
Children or adult learn their culture, what's to do and what is not expected of them in their society from the parents, relatives, elders and many significant others in the society, directly or indirectly.
