Food challenge week #64|| For kids and parents| Teach The Kids/Kids Food Challenge| share Your Food Diary With Us
Ingredients use
Rice
Fish (ibat)
Red oil
Onions
Crayfish
Seasoning cubes, salt, pepper
Bitter leaf (4-6 leaves)
Method:
The ingredients was already in the house, so the first thing was to measure the rice, use small salt and wash it. Then I put it inside the pot to parboiled.
As the rice was on fire. I slice my onions, wash my fish, pound my pepper and set them aside.
After 30minute, i bring down the rice, wash it again and then return it inside the pot. I didn't parboiled the rice for too long so that it will not be too soft since am cooking it again.
Inside the pot containing the rice, I add my ingredients, the onions, grounded crayfish, fish, seasoning cube, pepper and salt.
I add water, stir to know if there's any thing I needed to had again. But after checking, I realize that all the ingredients has taken their respective places. Then I place the pot on fire again.
After a while, I open the pot and check the rice. The water has gone down so I add my cut bitter leaf and red oil and allow it open for some minutes.
After some minutes, I turn the rice for the oil to mix well and allow the water to dry well.
10 minutes later, I off the fire and my local MTN is ready.
I prefer using a little better leaf in this meal because bitter leaf is a natural fever reducer. It good in relieving stomach ulcer. Rich in vitamins and protein which helps to detoxify the system. It also enhances fertility. Bitter leaf is very good to the body, but when you're using it in rice, don't put it much so that the whole meal will not taste bitter except you really like bitter taste.
