Food challenge contest week #84|| For kids and parents| Hot and Spicy Dhal Wade for my Evening Snacks 😋
Hello My Dear Kids and Parents 😍,
I hope all of you are spending time with your loved ones happily. This week I wanted to participate in the Food Diary organized every week by the Steem kids & parents community. Kids love to eat snacks. Therefore, for this contest, I am going to share with you how to make Dhal Wade. I am now preparing to present each step in a way that you can do easily and clearly.
Ingredients required
🍪 Kadala prippu(Chana Dal) | 400g |
---|---|
🍪 Green chili | 20g |
🍪 Curry leaves | 5 leaves |
🍪 Red onions | 20g |
🍪 Salt powder | 10g |
🍪 Garlic | 10g |
🍪Coconut Oil | 150ml |
As your taste you can change amount of above ingredients.
Method of Making
First, the chickpeas should be kept in water for five hours. Because chana dal seed is too hard, they are put in water to soften them. Keep it like this for five hours or more and take a filter as an aid to remove the water well. Then put it on the strainer to save the water for a while and put it in a mortar or grind it with a chili stone to make a paste. Here I ground the chana dal with the help of a pepper mill.
Chopped green chilies, garlic, curry powder were added to the dough made in this way, and pieces of chilies and onions were added.
Then again everything was ground with a chili stone in such a way that everything is mixed well. Now I have made the dough to make the Dhal Wade. Then I make small balls out of the dough.
I have made dal in different shapes. But I prefer small, elongated balls. So today I made dhal Wade that way. Now you have to temper the Dhal Wade. For that, I first put a pan on the stove and after a while I poured coconut oil. When the oil was heated enough, I put one ball of dal in the pan with oil.
When the dal is heated, apart from the sound it makes, a delicious aroma spreads throughout the kitchen. In that way, I tempered all the lentil Wade made from the dough. While tempering the Wade, I tasted only 2-3 wade balls. I felt really delicious hot and spicy crispy.
That's how I spend my evening snack time today. I invite you to try this. I think that maybe you have made it from home before. So, I am very happy to invite @gimhani, @harithachamod and @senehasa friends to post your entry here to participate in this wonderful contest. Have a nice time to you!🥳✨️
Thank you for giving a time!❤️🎊️
