Drawing challenge for week #9: Draw an Elephant
Hello, steemkids community members! I'm thrilled to be participating in @eliany's drawing challenge this week.
Let me tell you a little bit about elephants before I start drawing.
Describe an elephant?
The elephant is the world's largest land animal. Elephants can weigh up to 8,000 kg and stand 3 to 4 meters tall at the shoulder when fully grown. Savannas, grasslands, and forests are the most common habitats for them. Elephants are herbivores. The eat leaves seeds, fruits and grasses. Elephants spend up to 60% of their day searching for food in the wild.
Elephants migrate periodically in response to food and water availability. Elephants can reach a top speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Elephants mature sexually between the ages of 12 and 14. Elephants are important to their ecosystem. The trunk of an elephant has a long nose that is used for smelling, breathing, crowing, feeding, and grabbing materials.
What qualities does an elephant possess?
An elephant possesses numerous great qualities. They are
Smartness : Even if it is far away, an elephant can recall where water can be found.
Strength : They have a lot of strength, which is why they can easily knock down mature trees.
Friendly : They are man-friendly and playful.
Emotion : Elephants become sad when they loose their kind
Elephants eat a lot
Elephants conceive for 22 months.
Elephants are naturally aggressive.
Have you seen one before? If yes, where?
I've seen a real one at the zoo. I've also seen some on TV while watching movies and documentaries.
Are They Important To Man
In some religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism, elephants are also used as a symbol of godliness. Through tourism, they help the country prosper economically. Elephants contribute to the preservation of the forest and natural ecology.
