Thediarygame for (18-03-2024): cooking, slaughtering a fowl and going to work.

Dear diary📑

It was the first day of the week being monday, as usual it was stressful, but i had a productive and fulfilled day. How would my day won't be fulfilled when I'm with a fowl that's about to be slaughtered😋for dinner. It's another week to highlight in words and pictures how i spent my day. I present my diary below 👇🏾.

Morning Activities

It started with this saying "Woow, I'm alive to see this great day", i said to myself. Knowing very well who watched over me all night which is JEHOVAH. I examined his scriptures as usual and prayed to Him for guidance and protection throughout my day. That morning scriptures cemented my faith in JEHOVAH knowing very well that He'll help us when we face opposition just as He did to the new congregation in Thessalonica.

I was left alone in the house, after examining the scriptures i was very hungry and was craving for food like an angry lion. I walked down to the kitchen to help myself with food but i found nothing eatable in the kitchen. "Oh! What I'm i going to do now?" I lamented. I had some money with me so i rushed down to the nearby shop to buy egg and some low key ingredients for fast food. I'm back from the shop and soup is about to me prepared by me.

On getting back, i started the preparation of the food by washing the 2 eggs, peel it off, mixed my ingredients such as pepper, maggi and salt into it and give it a proper stir. I chopped my onions to my preferred size and light up my gas cylinder, the gas was at high frequency so that my food will be done soon, i was damn hungry.

While the food was on fire, i decided to keep my mind away by keeping myself busy. I went to the parlour to watch downloaded Jw broadcasting and update number #2. Before i even finish half of the broadcasting, my food was ready to be served and eaten. This is the result of the egg soup prepared by me👇🏾.

Like i said earlier, i was as hungry as an angry lion. Normally i do consume 3 wraps of fufu, but this time around i bought 5 wraps of fufu and nothing remain within 15 minutes. I breath in and out and was satisfied with that yummy food. Knowing that adequate sleep enhance mental resilience, i drank enough water and get on my bed, i dozed off after some minutes.

While sleeping, my phone rang and it was my mother calling. The conversation we had gave me more joy addition to the joy i got after eating my yummy meal. She said "Benard, go to visitor's wc you'll see a white fowl, slaughter it and steam, it's for dinner". My heart skipped because it's been a while i tasted a chicken, things are hard you know.

Afternoon Activities

Immediately i ended the call, i rushed to the location where i could find the fowl and here it is. "Today is your last day on earth", i said to the fowl. I picked my knife, digged a small hole for blood dispensation and cut off the throat. The fowl is death and the next step was to boil water, soak it into the hot water and get rid of those hairs and peel off the shells on the legs.

Oh no!! My gas has finished😔. Okay, i had some firewoods which i fetched last week, i set up the fire using those firewood and boil my hot water to continue the process. The water was hot i then soaked the chicken and peel off the hairs. It took me only 2 minutes to do that because it's my old time business. I started cutting it into pieces, washed it and put them inside the pot for steaming. Below are pictures of the process 👇🏾.

It was a successful slaughtering because i didn't cut my fingers during the process. "Oh I'll be going to work soon and uniform is wet", i said to myself. The sun was still shining and glowing, so i hanged my uniform under it to dry before getting to work. Okay, it's dry and I'm off to work.

Evening Activities

It's work throughout the evening. When it was 10pm in the night, i copied my meter and head to the manager's office to balance my account, as usual my account was balanced. I was walking and running at the same time when i was heading home because of the chicken I'll be lavishing when i arrive. I arrived home safely that night, take a warm bath, enjoy my chicken and get to bed. My day ended.
