Am writing on the challenge with the hints given:

House chores are the regular tasks or works we do at home as we go about our day to day living. They are the day to day tasks we carry out at home to keep the house conducive for living. When we go about living at home we find out that things get messed up round about the house due to usage and we need to tidy these things to ensue that our living space is conducive.

It’s the tidying of these things that results to chores. If we did have to just live and do nothing then I don’t think there will be need for chores but if we have to eat with a plate, then after eating, the plate turns to dirty plate and hence the need to wash it which leads to a chore.

My perception about house chores are on the neutral. I don’t know if I enjoy doing them, all I know is that chores are more of a necessity to me than something I enjoy doing. If I must keep my living space free from germs and sickness, then I need to keep it clean. Whether I enjoy doing it or not, I must do them. It’s paramount for a healthy living.

The house chores done in my house includes;

• washing of plates and pots
• Sweeping the house and all the accompanying rooms
• dusting the upholstery and cabinets,
• dressing the beds and changing of bedsheets when necessary
• Mopping of floors
• Washing of toilets and bathrooms
• Laundry
• Removing of cob webs around the house
• Disposing of trash
• Cooking
• Shopping for the house
• Ironing
• Cleaning the windows
• Fetching water

The chores I enjoy doing is cooking. I love to cook. This is basically because I do have a good taste for food hence I love to cook to get the exact taste I want because most times some one may not get the exact taste I want when they do the cooking, so I volunteer to cook for the house most times.

I cook in the kitchen after am done going to the market to buy the things I want. I prepare them and start my cooking. When am done, I call my younger ones to help with the cleaning because most times am already tired from the plenty work.

I also enjoy shopping for the house. I like to go to the market my self and but the exact things I want the way I want them. I have regular customers whom I buy from hence making the shopping very easy.

House chores are important to me and the family because it helps to create sanity in the living space. Imagine a house where chores are not done. That will definitely be a living hell with all the dirts and plenty diseases and sickness.

Everyone one has to put all hands on deck to ensure the family living space is well taken care of. It’s for the good of everyone at home. Chores help to keep our atmosphere clean and liveable.

My advice to kids about house chores is that they should learn to embrace house chores as part of their responsibilities and obligations to the family. It’s more of a matter of obligation. It’s part of our duty. Whether they enjoy it or not.

I’d add that they should find a way to incorporate joy as they carry out their chores as it will help to make it less tedious and less boring than when they do it grumbling.

Kids should also know that house chores works In tenacity and grow in them a sense of responsibility hence they should embrace it as it also helps to deal with laziness and teaches them to become responsible for their well being, in other words chores work In character into us.

Kids who are well trained in the areas of handling house chores turns out to become self dependent and responsible members of the society working with their hands to fend for themselves while kids whom have little or no idea about chores tend to lazy and have no sense of self responsibility. They have to depend on maids or their parents for everything to be literally done for them.

In conclusion house chores are needed to help keep the living space tidy and healthy for all and every member in the family should have their own fair share of the chores.
