My Feedback
As a "Japan Community" admin, I get messages and questions from many people lately. People are interested in building communities on Steemit. Creating a community isn't hard to do, but getting exposure to many people on Steemit is a hard task and a lot of people try hard to get any kind of traction at first but most of them just quit and leave soon after.
It is kind of similar to new member experience. It is hard to get started and do well on Steemit if you are new member or new community owner or whatever...
In my opinion, it is a lot harder to build a new community and grow userbase since no one knows we exists or what we do.
If a community is big, they get curation support and it is more noticeable on Steemit naturally... that is how Steemit works.
Community is hot and trending, people will see them easily and more people will join the community. New + small community don't have that luxury.
I think if a community is doing well they should get some kind of rewards for doing well but the same time, small community needs more attention or spotlight... like "This week in this community on Steemit" post or something by Steemingcuratos that explain what the community is about and reward community members and supporters so that people will have more chance to discover new and different communities, rather than this all the time.
I am not saying this is bad or anything but it just hard to get any kind of exposure on Steemit if you are small.
Some kind of tool or feature that recommends similar or different community would be nice.
Since you are using this tag, you might like these communities or something.
And also people have have questions and suggestions all the time but no one knows exactly how to ask, where to ask, who to ask. Some people will ask around random people and figure things out, many people don't.
This is simpleswap but many sites have this type of chat bot.
I don't think Steem has a "customer support" but feature like this is a nice to have.
Oh one more thing.
There are so many requirements for contests and events and stuff on Steemit.
You have to do all these things with all the other requirements for this contest otherwise you won't meet the requirements... it is just a lot of work and effort for probably nothing. That is not a good experience. Of course, you don't want spammy contents either but I feel like it needs a better rule/guideline.
Thank you for your feedback and entry to this contest.
I think we should do that Community of the Week spotlight/highlights and ask steemit team to pin the post on the trending page for more exposure. Also post of the week/day from all communities and pin them on trending page too so people can see that there is other communities with other languages that exist on steemit.
As for the rules/guidelines on a contest, it makes it easier for the contest organizer to collect the entry post and also at the same time bring more exposure to their community and bring in more other contestants hence the lots of rules and guidelines but sometimes they go over the board lol 😂
Customer support on steemit sounds great. For now, people can go to steemingcurators discord and ask there for anything regarding steemit/tron if the steemit team don't respond to you, me or @steemingcurator mods will get back to you whenever they are free 😁 but I hope we will have customer support soon too, good if it among the community members and paid accordingly every month like usual salary job..

I know the help on discord but new people, many people don't know that and it is not a good experience if you have to go somewhere else to get a support and do something else for other things... and stuff.
But I totally agree, support people need to get paid. There are bunch of people from all over the world here on Steemit. They could easily utilize that "free" people to make Steemit better :)
I really hope people on steemit being more helpful for free sometimes.. A customer support bot would be awesome though.
I think some people are kind enough to help others... (I like to help, want to help as much as I can) but people get tired of it since overall rewards + expectations are not met. Not a good log term solution to rely on I think?
Interesting feedback im in much support of what you highlight above new members find it quite difficult to stay active on these community due to lack of exposure and curation encouragement thanks for sharing best regards.
Thank you for your comment! :) I hope it was helpful or something... haha
Yeah it is very helpful thanks
