If you feel pain in your neck or shoulders when bending over, lifting things, or simply turning your head to the right or left, you may have a herniated disc.

A herniated disc is also known as a spinal hernia. This type of injury occurs when a disc or spinal disc leaks and sticks out in the neck or presses on the shoulder nerve.

A herniated disc can occur along the spine, from the neck to the lower back. If the leaking disc occurs in the area around the neck, then you will usually experience neck pain that radiates to the shoulders, arms, and hands.

To treat neck pain due to spinal hernia injury:

Neck pain due to a herniated disc can be treated with exercise or just stretching. But remember, do it carefully and stop immediately if your neck hurts even more.

The following stretching movements can help with neck pain due to a spinal hernia injury:

  • 1). Tilting head

This movement can help relieve pain and tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Here's how:

  • Sit comfortably.

  • Tilt the head to the right shoulder, hold for 30 seconds.

  • Rest. Do the same to the left.

  • Repeat 3-5 times every day to get rid of neck pain slowly.

  • 2). Bow your head to the side

The method:

  • Stand or sit in a chair and let your shoulders relax.

  • Grasp the back of the head with one hand, then gently push it towards the armpit as shown in the picture.

  • Hold for 30 seconds, then rest.

  • Repeat 3-5 times every day so that the pain is reduced.

  • 3). Look right and left

The method:

  • Sit in a chair and keep your shoulders relaxed. * Look to the right slowly.
  • Go as far as you can.
  • Hold for 30 seconds. Remember, don't force yourself if it hurts.
  • Look to the left slowly as far as you can.
  • Do it 3-5 times every day to treat neck pain.

Mild exercise to relieve neck pain

In addition to stretching movements, you can also treat neck pain due to a herniated disc with exercise. However, of course not all sports you can do.

Lighter exercise can actually increase blood flow to the spine. Even if done correctly, exercise can also speed up the recovery process in your cervical spine.

Thus is the content of my post, I hope you see and can always be aware of the health that we ignore, and see you again in the next post
