Hello great people of steem community. I am delighted to participate in this awesome contest title; perserverance.
What is perserverance?
Perserverance is an act of staying on something without loosing focus until the desire result is obtained.
Perseverance is a virtue that majority of failures in life hasn't applied. Staying on something even when you face challenge or troubles doesn't make you a failure but quitting makes one such. Great accomplishers spoken off today persevered until their dreams came alive.
My story that thought me perseverance
I can recall in 2019 precisely when got to an establishment; Narok Electrical Services for my training and apprenticeship. I was a novice in the field practically since I had a theorical insight about it a bit from college. My first day at the site was challenging because I knew not my left from my right.
I had some of the apprentices which I was older than in age. It was dame difficult to learn from them. I had to persevere and sum up courage to learn from them. Often time, the shame of degree holder like me seeking knowledge from one that hasn't been to a college before stood face to face with me.
I had them made an open mockery of me and most time sides talks over my anxiousness to learn as at the time. Since this wasn't coming from my boss, I never took it to heart to stop my training. Days turned months and months turned years. I discovered I had grown big in knowledge as far as electrical installation, instrumentation, consultancy and maintenance is concern. The very people that made jest of me were surprise to see me do a whole lot of what I couldn't do. I can look back and smile saying perseverance pays big.
What helped me to persevere?
What really helped me was the right mindset that problems, challenges, troubles, issues doesn't last forever. I was also asisted by people who spoke positive thoughts to my ears. They actually encouraged me that life isn't over and that something big was ahead of me if I persevere and learn.
Conclusion
No dream, plan, idea comes to materialization without undergoing some level of challenges. They can only come real if perseverance is the driving force. Gold isn't shining at its raw state except it persistently persevere in fire. Achievements doesn't come to us but we per severely go for them.
