In general, people like to procrastinate. Either delaying worship, investing, improving yourself and so on. In the end, they regretted their actions. The ability to overcome procrastination or procrastination and get to the most important tasks right away is the most valuable discipline we must develop.

If you are one of those people who like to procrastinate, let's look at the tips and tricks from my post until it's finished. This post is perfect read for people who want to get rid of their bad habit of "procrastinating on tasks or work."

Tips for overcoming procrastination

In the world of psychologists, people who procrastinate tend to think that they need a lot of time to get things done. Maybe this is true, but the habit turns out to be related to a person's view of seeing the task, whether it feels difficult or not, so that they are not enthusiastic. As a result, they like to put off work that shouldn't take a long time.

According to an article from Princeton University, this bad habit is closely related to "time management" and psychological reasons. In addition, procrastination can also be exacerbated by a school or office system that requires students and employees to get high marks.

Friends, you don't need to worry, you can still overcome procrastination in the following ways:

1. Overcome procrastination by making a priority list

One way to overcome procrastination so that we no longer like to procrastinate is to make a priority list.

You can start by creating any tasks that must be done. If necessary enter the date of each job, when it should be submitted or last edited. Usually this method is used by freelancers who take on many projects from various companies. This way, you can estimate how long each task will take to complete.

Each task also has its own level of difficulty. So it is better for us to speed up the work 2-3 days before the deadline arrives.

2. Manage time well

In addition to making a list of priorities, the key so that we can overcome procrastination is to manage time well. Poor time management is often one of the reasons why we are accustomed to piling up work.

Indeed, not all methods of managing time will help us overcome this bad habit. But there are several other techniques that are worth trying to get rid of the procrastinate nature in us. For example, when we get a job that is large enough and takes a long time, break the job into several parts.

We can start from small things first, such as what things to do and what kind of supplies to get when holding a big family event. Do each job step by step. If necessary, do what you think is easiest so that when you get to the hardest part, you still have enough time.

3. Looking for reasons to be motivated

Finding reasons to be motivated turns out to be one way to overcome procrastination. You can look for a self-motivated reason and reach for positive, productive thoughts and hope for satisfactory results. Usually, a motivating reason will be different from doing an assignment for fear of failing or making our parents angry.

Both of these reasons are strong enough, but they can actually make your business unproductive. For example, you do an assignment for fear of looking stupid, so you choose not to ask questions or learn new things.

Instead of basing each of your actions with such feelings, try to see and find out what personal reasons make this job feel light. Also, get rid of items that can temporarily distract you, such as your cell phone or the internet.

4. Appreciate your own efforts

Don't forget to always appreciate every effort you have made, so that you no longer have a hobby of delaying work after the task is complete.

Once you've gotten rid of what's been holding you back from doing the task and getting it done, give yourself a chance to enjoy something fun. For example, watching a concert, playing a game console, or just checking your social media. Instead of using the fun as a stumbling block. You can also use it as a way to reward hard work.

For example, you agree that after successfully working on a presentation for a new client this week, watching with friends is the 'gift' you've been waiting for. Thus, the gift becomes a reason that keeps you productive in doing something.

5. Realistic

Being realistic when doing something can also be a way for us to overcome procrastination.

Hoping everything is perfect is good, but expecting too much is also not uncommon to make someone wait for everything to be perfect to move on. If it is not perfect, the desire to complete the work is reduced and not completed. Therefore, being realistic can at least make us focus more on being better than perfect. This means that you can keep fighting and prepare well so that you can stay focused on getting the job done better.

If you feel you can't be productive so you don't procrastinate anymore, maybe asking someone else for help is the solution. At least, that way they can be a reminder for you to complete the task on time and with quality.

Maybe this is all I can say on this occasion. If there are words that are not pleasing, please forgive. I hope my post can be useful for all of you.

Keep the spirit in living this life, my friends.

Best regards to @steemingcuration @fabio2614 @juichi @psicoparedes and @cryptokannon
