The Diary Game : 11/04/2020 | Clearing Lands

Hello Friends, It's @besticofinder and thought of adding a diary post after some time. All the government institutes are closed due to COVID issue in Sri Lanka and I'm spending some time at home in my village these days. So we started to clear some lands for cinnamon plantation.

The land we clearing is not used for any cultivation before. Actually it's like a mini scale jungle which is full of unnecessary trees. It will cost lot if we try to clear it with the help of people as cutting trees , removing the roots and burning them will take lot of time and will be difficult to do with bare hands.

Blacky is always coming with us when we having a walk in these woods. Actually it's good for our protections as he is able to sense snakes and other animals before us.

Dozer clearing lands
We hired a small dozer to clear the lands. Actually it needs around 25 machine hours to clear 1 acre of land ( around 160 perches). When calculating the cost comparing to the use of worker , we decided that this is more profitable. We spent some time there and I wanted to climb the top of the mountain as there is a nice rock which is well shaded by trees. Have to climb through the woods to reach this point. It's a nice view point with a amazing view.

Found a rock to have a rest
So I rested there while and started my way back to home. So it was a nice day as I enjoy having a walk like this, specially in this COVID time. It's very difficult to stay inside the house. But these areas are safe as there are no much people live here. No one come inside these plantations. So nothing to worry. Okey guys .. it was the day.
