5 google products that failed...
Google Plus
Google Plus was a social media like Facebook-Twitter. But in the 8 years from 2011 to 2019, its popularity did not even reach the edge of Facebook and YouTube. There were also many major security issues. At the end of 2019, Google turned off its service.
Google Video
In 2005, when YouTube became very popular, Google came up with "Google Video" which is a video hosting service similar to YouTube. But as there was no such response, Google said goodbye to "Google Video" and bought YouTube.
Google Answer
We now search for any question on Google and most of the time get different types of answers. There are many problems in choosing the right one. To solve this problem, Google brings "Google Answers" where you will charge a specific fee for a question and a registered researcher will answer it. But due to a lack of users, Google turned off the service in 2006.
Knol
In 2006, Google launched its free knowledge platform, Knol, to compete with Wikipedia where anyone could register and write content. But since everyone is already writing on Wikipedia and there is a lot of content on Wikipedia, there were no users of knol. Four years later, it was closed.
Jaiku
In 2007, Google bought Jaiku. It's basically an alternative service like Twitter. Google makes its codebase open source to focus on its security. But it is also lost due to fewer users and Google also turned off its service in 2012.
