RE: Salauddin Aiyubi || Historical person contest participation
Nice article. I would like to share another information here.
In third crusade, he made contract with crusaders that the Jerusalem will be of Muslims but Cristian pilgrim will able to visit that place.
Though Salauddin Aiyubi is recognized as the most significant Muslim commander of the Crusades, he was not hated by Christians, but quite the opposite — he deserved their admiration. When he conquered Jerusalem, many Christians were offered free passage out of the land. The ones that were held captive were allowed to buy freedom. Men had to pay only 10 dinars, women had to pay 5 dinars, and children had to pay 1 dinar. [Source]
Ya Exactly.
After first crusade, muslims and jews were killed in Jeruzalem, but Salauddin did not do that.
