How To Cook Traditional "Murgh-Polau" || Delicious Food Recipe in Only 6 Steps || 5% To @bd-charity
Hello Dear Steemians! How are you all? Today I've come up with a delicious rich food recipe.
Today, I'll share how to cook "Murgh Polau" in only 5 steps. This food item is a Traditional Indian/Bangladeshi Rich Food. I hope you’ll like this recipe & give it a try to cook yourself. So, lets start.
Ingredients

Rice (আতপ চাল) | 0.5 Kg |
Chicken (মুরগির মাংস) | 600 gm |
Ghee (ঘি) | 2/3 Tbs |
Soya Sauce (সয়া সস) | 1 Tbs |
Poppy Seeds (পোস্তদানা) | 2 Tbs |
Common Plum (আলু বোখারা) | 4/5 Pcs |
Cinnamon (দারচিনি) | 4/5 pcs |
Cardamon (এলাচি) | 4/5 pcs |
Onion (পেয়াজ) | 200 gm |
Ginger Paste (আদা পেস্ট) | 1 Tbs |
Garlic Paste (রসুন পেস্ট) | 1 Tbs |
Cumin Paste (জিরা পেস্ট) | 1 Tbs |
Coriander Paste (ধনিয়া পেস্ট) | 1 Tbs |
Yogurt (টক দই) | 2 Tbs |
Biriyani Essence (বিরিয়ানি ফ্লেভার) | 1/2 Tbs |
Sugar (চিনি) | 1 Tbs |
Green Chillies (কাঁচা মরিচ) | 5/6 Pcs |
Dried Peeper (শুকনা মরিচ) | 1 Tbs |
Cooking Steps
Step 1
To cook the Murgh Pulao, I first prepared the chicken for cooking. For this, at first I marinated the chicken meat with ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander etc. paste.
Then added a small amount of soya sauce and sour curd. Then I kept the marinated chicken in the fridge for about 6 hours.
Step 2
After 6 hours, I took out the marinated chicken from the fridge. I left the meats out for a while & then put some oil in the stove first and waited for it to heat up
This time, I left almost 100 grams of onion in the heated oil. After a while I put the chicken pieces one by one in the stove. I added a bit of water too.
- Then after a while, I continued to stir them with a spoon. After about 25 to 30 minutes, the meat broth starts to dry. That means cooking the meat has been completed. Now I put the meat down from the stove
Step 3
- After finishing the chicken to be cooked, I started preparation for cooking polao. For this, I cut the raw chilli into long pieces. I also prepared cinnamon and cardamon.
Step 4
To cook polao, firstly I left the rice heated in a little oil. Then added cinnamon, cardamon, onion, raw chillies and a small amount of yogurt one by one.
Then, I stirred these so that everything mix well. In this step, I left the polau to cook well for 20 minutes.
Step 5
After 20 minutes, I added the chickens with polau. I put the chicken under the polau for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, I started to gently stir the chicken-polao as the food is almost cooked. Then, I added Biriyani Essence to it so that It'll be more tasty.
Step 6
Our Murgh Pulao recipe is almost finished. In the very last step, I added common plum & crispy fried onion in the polao.
To fry the onion, I put some oil into the stove & left 50 gm sliced onion into it. I fried it for 2/3 minutes until it becomes crispy. Then I spread the crispy fried onion on the polau.
This is how, I cooked Delicious Murgh Polau. Everyone can easily prepare this traditional food with the help of this recipe as I tried to keep it simple.
