The incident of poems written on the pillars of Masjid Nabavi Sharif.
An incident is recorded in the famous commentary of the Holy Qur'an, Tafsir Ibn Katheer, in which an Arab lover came to the Holy Shrine of the Holy Prophet in the Masjid Nabawi Sharif and asked:
As-Salamu Alaikum or the Messenger of Allah, then he said that Allah Almighty has said in the Qur'an:
•👈ولو انھم اذ ظلموا:👉
•👈Translation:👉
And if they had wronged themselves, O Beloved! If they had come to you and then asked forgiveness from Allah and the Messenger (also) had prayed for their forgiveness, they would have found Allah very repentant and merciful.
Therefore, I have come to serve you. I ask forgiveness for my sins and seek intercession from you before Allah Almighty. After that he recited these poems and left.
یَا خَیْرَ مَنْ دُفِنَتْ فِی الْقَاعِ اَعْظُمُہُ
فَطَابَ مِنْ طِیْبِہِنَّ الْقَاعُ وَالْاُکَمُ
نَفْسِی الْفِدَائُ لِقَبْرٍ اَنْتَ سَاکِنُہُ
فِیْہِ الْعَفَافُ وَفِیْہِ الْجُوْدُ وَالْکَرَمُ

O best being buried in the earth! The valleys and hills became fragrant with the fragrance of your blessed body.
May my soul be sacrificed on this blessed grave in which you are visiting. There is purity, generosity and generosity in this grave
At that time a great jurist Hazrat Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Faqih Al-Andalus who is known by the title of "Al-Atabi" was present there and he is also the narrator of this incident.
Says: After the departure of this Arab, I fell asleep. In a dream, I visited the Holy Prophet. He said:
“Go to that Bedouin and give him the good news that Allah has forgiven him” (Tafsir Ibn Katheer)
