Mistake Newcomers Do And Problems Newcomers Face

Hello everyone :)
I see steemit is growing rapidly and many newcomers are coming daily. To guide them I am making this post.

As a newcomer, we don't know how to start off in a good shape in steemit. There are a couple of mistakes all newcomers do and some problems they face too. Let's discuss the mistakes first.

Mistakes newcomers do

Plagiarism

I have seen many newcomers even the old ones too doing plagiarism and that's not acceptable in any case. If you like someone's work and want to use it in your post add a proper citation and sources click the link if you don't know how to do so.

Don't vote or vote too much

Newcomers don't vote for others and lose the chance of getting a curation reward and on the other side, newcomers don't pay attention to their voting power (VP) or maybe they don't know about it. Let me tell you,
VP is like the energy here. At first, you have 100% VP but when you vote someone it decreases 2% on every vote you do, doesn't worry it recovers with time too.

The best way to upvote someone is to keep your VP not less than 80%.

You can check your VP from https://steemworld.org

Wrong posting

Posting in the wrong community. Before pressing the button of the post, have a look at the posting community as I shown in the picture.

Tags

Tags the important and directional tool for the blog. Tags should be according to the genre of your post.Tags will help people find your posts.
Each post can have up to 8 tags but it's better to put 5 or 6 solid tags.

If you are blogging, the first tag in the list will be the main category of the post.
The tags should all be related to the post.

Don't follow the rules of contests

Without following the rules. It means you are out of the contest. Read carefully the rule portion of the contest otherwise, your post will not be acceptable in any community's contests.

Problem faced by Newcomers

This problem mostly applies to people with very little SP, where breaking these guidelines can get your account temporarily limited, so it may be worth your time to read.

LACK OF RESOURCES

The main problem is the lack of resources and can't post or comment or vote. Here are some reasons why you run out of credit resources. Take care of the following things,

Editing post multiple times

That's the mistake all newcomers do and as result, they can't post because of the lack of resources. Read your post before posting and then post it. Editing multiple times can be the cause of destroying your bandwidth.

Editing comments multiple times

The same goes for the comments. In Steem comments are the same as a post. So don't edit a comment multiple times.

Vote too much in a single day

Newcomers have a 0.00 value of their vote but still vote for all the posts coming by. They cross their limits without even knowing. It's better not to vote all the post that comes your way.

Resteem too much

Resteeming too much can be the reason for your bandwidth loss. So don't resteem all the posts.

Resteem the post and share it with the newcomers.
