Wednesday-Educational Theme - Child Labor
Assalam-u-Alaikum Everyone!
Today I am going to educate you guys about 'Child Labor' which is not rare in the world around us anymore.
WHAT IS CHILD LABOR?
Child Labor is defined as the work that take children's away from thier childhood and their dignity that effect their physical and mental growing. The work which is meant to be done by proper trained (elder) labors according to their physical and mental health. But unfortunately the rate of child labor is increasing day by day even in the modern world.
TYPES OF CHILD LABOR IN PAKISTAN
The term child labor refers to all those works that are source of making money through legally or illegally. Some main types of child labor usually found in Pakistan are:
- Children's used for Construction work.
Some people specially the main leaders of the labor recommend mostly children's for such small purposes of construction like loading sac of sand, carrying bricks etc.

- Children's used for getting charity.
Charity purpose includes that some of the welfare organizations use children's for getting big amount of charity from people or for the food in any of the local streets or in several areas of cities.
- Children's used for begging on the roads
There are several groups in Pakistan that are involved in such illegal work they kidnap children's or buy them on high prices disguise them like beggars and leave them on the roads especially on the traffic signals. They wait their for the cars to stop so that they can beg for some money this includes young girls and they carries some babies in their hands portraying they're poor and need some money for feeding their children. And at the end of the day they have to submit all the collected money to their bosses and gets a very little amount from it. And if somebody fails to earn per day, those kids are beaten and badly treated. Some of them also wipe the mirror of the cars as people stop by the signal. And I have seen a lot of car owners and drivers behaving rudely with the kids just because they cleaned their mirrors without their permission.
IS CHILD LABORING A CRIME IN PAKISTAN?
On August 06, 2020 the Government of Pakistan banned child laboring and declared it as an illegal work and announced to take strict action against child laboring and to the people promoting it. The reason why government took serious action against child laboring was the death of Zohra Shah, an 8 year old girl and a domestic worker who was brutally beaten and this caused her death and not only her there are million such cases in which our little future stars are brutally beaten, tortured and killed by such hypocrites.
MY OPINION
I think the main cause of child labor is the immense increasing rate of poverty in Pakistan. Because when the poor people don't find ways to earn they simply adopt habits of begging or sending their children's for such hard jobs of construction where they're treated badly or like slaves.
CONCLUSION
We being the responsible citizens should raise voice or file complains against it. Or if we observe such illegal works and mishandlings with life of poor children's then we should inform the well being organizations. Inshort we shoul became the source of stopping child labor.
