Steemit Engagement Challenge Week 2 || Share your Country's Culture by @sisol

Hi everybody. Today @steemitblog Steemit Update [ May 2nd, 2022 ] : Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 1 - Week 2 announced it is back and @steemit-pak in collaboration with the Steemit Team announced the second contest of the Engagement Challenge.

In this contest, we are holding our Favorite Festival which can be in the form of a religious or cultural festival. Where we can write about history, how to celebrate it and so on.

Share your Country's Culture

I live in Aceh, Indonesia where we have a lot of ethnic diversity. To get to know the customs and culture between ethnic groups in the region, the Aceh government organizes a cultural festival which is held every 4-5 years, better known as the Aceh Cultural Week.

The event was held for the first time in 1958 or 64 years ago. Today I will share with you all about the Aceh Street Food Festival 2022 which was held on March 21-23, 2022 ago. This activity is very interesting because it invites directly 32 MSMEs engaged in food and beverage at Sultanah Shafiatuddin Park, Banda Aceh.

In the Street food festival activities, MSMEs are prioritized which are not well known by the public, but their business exists and is running well. With the festival activities, their MSME businesses are better known by the public, especially the people of Aceh, Indonesia and outsiders as well.

In this Festival activity, there are various types of traditional Acehnese and archipelago cuisines to contemporary food and drink snacks. Traditional Acehnese food there are several types of food such as Aceh noodles, fried rice, durian pulot, caluek noodles, grilled bananas and also octopus satay. No only traditional Acehnese food is available at the place but there are also modern foods such as burgers, dim sum, and other foods. For drinks, there is coffee, which has a variety of popular drink variants.

The festival activities not only serve culinary delights but are also enlivened with fun games, workshops with national food vloggers and music performances.

In activities like this it is very good to be held every year, especially in terms of introducing cultures to young people and also visitors from various regions. The existence of festival activities like this also has an impact on people who want to enjoy traditional Acehnese foods. Not only that, if in Aceh there are many coffee lovers, people who like coffee can come directly to the location.

Crowded people came directly to the location to see the event. Even with this activity, it can introduce deeper into the cultures that exist in Aceh. I feel happy with the presence of activities like this, I also hope that in the future it will be carried out again. Actually there are many festival activities in our area such as dance festivals and so on.

Conclusion

With the existence of cultural festival activities, it is possible to introduce cultural customs to everyone, especially the youth so that they are more familiar with the cultures that exist in their area so that this culture can be continued and developed in the future.

Loved reading about the Aceh food festival. we have something similar to that in January, every year. It's not strictly a cultural event, but it's similar to the street food festival in Aceh.

Thank you for sharing this festival with us. What I like most is that it happens over a period of time and not just in one day. What I like secondly is that it helps the smaller business which is awesome!
So often it is the large companies that scoop all the money from these type of events.
Well done on a great article!
Ps. That food looks yummy!!

yes it is true what you say. With this festival activity, it can help small MSME businesses

Wow
A festival that is all about food, it would be too yummy to miss out on that.

Thanks you
