People do comparison. The daughter in law who brings alot Dowry is more respected . Who brings less goods is given a variety of taunts. She does all the work of the house and is dishonored.

Creating Violence:

This tradition is creating violence in society. The daughter in law who comes with a little dowry the inlaws consider her inferior. The inlaws torture her daughter inlaws. Girls become psychiatric patient due to continuous misbehaving.

Producing Difficulties for Poor Girls:

This dowry tradition is creating a lot of problems for Poor girls. It is difficult for them to meet the basic needs of life. Poor families don't give so much dowry to their daughters so their relations are not in higher and middle class families.

Producing Greed in Society:

Giving and taking dowry is considered as a tradition. People don't mind giving and taking dowry. They think it's a part of life.

it's become a burden Economically:

To make dowry for our daughters has become a big demand of our society. If no one can make it, then at the time of marriage he borrowed money. Marriages happened, but later it became very difficult for the girls parents. So much is spent on marriage and they had to pay later, they don't have enough courage to marry their other children.

Dowry is demanded by parents in law:

In most of the cases the boys family demands dowry. This chain of demands for dowry continues until after marriage. The boy and boy's family don't feel ashamed or hesitate. Mostly have seen that the family who are giving more dowry are considered good to have relationship with the same family.

Misuse of dowry by parents in law's:

The girl doesn't have any authority over the furniture, utensils, money and property which are given to the girl in the form of dowry by her parents, but the inlaws use all the things. They use bridal goods so badly. In some families it has been seen that the girl doesn't have permission to set up her own room and luggage according to her own will.

Origin of many social evils:

The dowry system produce many social evils. The poor who can't gave enough dowry will try to make all things for dowry for this purpose he will use immoral means. In this race of making dowry, people use unethical sources.

The people who are in favor of giving and taking dowry think that if you give dowry to your daughter you are supporting your daughter. The goods which you are giving will enable her to furnish her house. That stuff will help your daughter live her life. It will make her life easy . The facilities which are given by her parents will make her happy.

How to stop dowry system:

In the start there will be a slight reduction in these matters.Educate your daughter enables them to meet their needs. When she had her own career she will be confident. Enable your son so that he can fullfil needs of his wife and his own. He can manage all the things like he can give shelter and other facilities of life. Promote and follow Islamic teachings so that people leave these rituals. Instead of giving dowry give daughters their share in inheritance. Dowry should be banned officially.
