in STEEMIT PAKISTAN2 years ago

Hello greet people of the community of @steemitPakistan.
It's my great pleasure to be taking part in this engagement challenge and I am so happy about this topic that gives me a chance to express the views about my country.

I was born and raised in Uganda. currently living and working in Uganda.
I can say I am proud of my country. Uganda is a very peaceful country which welcomes all non-Ugandan with open arms and I guess most people come looking for that freedom.

Uganda is a landlocked country because it's surrounded by land.
In the east is Kenya, north is South Sudan, DRC in the west and Tanzania and Rwanda in the south.
It's capital city is Kampala, our president who has ruled us for more than 30yrs is president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Uganda is also known as the pearl of Africa because it has so many beautiful allures, the essence, nice peaceful life and the nice people who are friendly and welcoming.
Its national parks like Bwindi, Murchison falls, Mburo and gorillas national park add to its attractions.

Uganda has various tribes that hail from different parts of the country and the biggest one being Baganda.
Uganda's official languages are English and Kiswahili though most people speak English.

3 reasons why I love my country?

Uganda is a country full of freedom.
There is so much freedom in Uganda.freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
Its freedom comes with so much peace that it welcomes all nationalities with love.
Non-ugandans live in the country like they are Ugandan and no one will ask them any documents.
The reason why people keep voting our president who has ruled us for over 30yrs and plus is because of the freedom that he has given his people.

Its the pearl of Africa.
Uganda is full of beautiful nature.from national parks to waterfalls, wild animals, mountains, lakes and rivers.
And because of this uganda economy has grown because if the tourist attractions.
People all over the world come to tour Uganda's nature resources.
Its beautiful weather becomes the reason as to why people find it interesting to stay in Uganda.
I encourage those on this platform who are planning to visit Africa to consider uganda, you won't be disappointed.

People in uganda are full of love and welcoming.
Whether you are of different skin colour or different nationality, you are all the same in uganda.
Their is no segregation or discrimination among people.
They will show you that you are part of them and they will treat you like you are their brother/sister.
They are happy people who prefer peace above anything else.
Though they are so many different tribes but they prefer to live as one in their communities.

3 changes you want to see in your country?

Politically.
I would love to see a change in our president. our leader who has ruled us for over 30plus years.
He us the only president I know since I was born up to now.
I would wish to see a new face and what the new president can do.
We love and appreciate the good things he has done and the freedom that we have but change is good.

Raise salaries for teachers.
I feel like our political leaders really get too much money yet they put in very little efforts.
It's so sad and heartbreaking when the ones who are doing so much and putting effort to teach and nurture the young leaders of tomorrow are given pennies.
The government should appreciate the work they do by increasing their salaries yearly.

I would like to see corruption being fought by punishing severely people who practice it.
The government should put out strict laws upon corruption and make sure that whoever is caught faces the law without fear or favour.
This will help develop the country and it will create a big change in the countries economic sector.

In conclusion

Uganda is a beautiful country and we have got a great leader.
But it needs so much to do on creating job opportunities, fighting corruption and developing the education sector.
These 3 will help in the increment of it's economy.
"For God and my country"-ugandas motto

I remain a proud Ugandan

Wow thanks for accepting my invite. I will check if there are direct flights from Cameroon to Uganda because I hate transits. If I find one then next summer vacation will be in Uganda✌️✌️

Yeeeeyiiii......will be happy to see you💃

Wow!!, your president has been ruling for 30 years, well this might be for the fact that he's good at his job, but if that's not the case, then the political aspect is all wrong then.

I love the beautiful part of Uganda and its nature, wild forestry, and all that, I heard it's a nice country for foresight.

He has actually been leading for 35 years.
People love him for the freedom and peace that he brought.
The country has also grown economically.
His a good president i think the ones that are under him are the corrupt leaders but otherswise,if it wasnt because of age,we would vote for him again.

Uganda should be on your to visit countries, you will love it.

Uganda! Thank you for sharing your country with us. I enjoyed reading all about it. From what you have shared it is a beautiful country.
Freedom of speech is so important in a country. They say there are freedom of speech in South Africa but nope, there is not.

Keep on being proud of your country!

There is so much discrimination in south africa from what i heard.
As for uganda, its a country for everyone so much freedom and togetherness.
Its hard to tell that one is not a ugandan because we are all one.

It's amazing to read through your article in the contest about your country, I have always wished to visit Uganda and I hope I would someday. It's great to know that there is freedom in the country and you are always open to welcome one with love, I guess I would experience it when I visit.

That said, we also have the same issues here about low salary for our dear teachers who has laboured so much to teach many professionals we have today, it's disheartening, I hope there are changes as regards that sooner.

Politically, I look forward to changes in your country, over 30 years is too much, there should be a change, really. I am glad to read through your article today. Greetings.

Thank you for taking your time to read through my article .
We hope to get change God willing that is if he doesnt put his son to be the next president.
But if it wasnt that his growing old i think anumber of ugandans would still vote for him.

Best regards
