Hello my fellow steemers! Hope you all had a wonderful day.
Today I will be sharing my thoughts regarding steemit; how I had perceived it to be and how it actually turned out to be.

So I’m a newbie here. I joined steemit in Sept’21 which was about over a month ago. I got to know about this platform through a good friend of mine; @event-horizon. She gave me a detailed introduction on Steemit and helped me create my account. She also shared her story about how she joined steemit in 2017 and the difficulties that she faced back then.

She then explained to me the basics of steemit in easy terms and told me how fun and easy it is to work here. However, the fear of not being able to flourish was still there in my heart. I still had so many questions like; what would I post about, whether I would be able to get along with other members here or not or would I get the required help, etc. I feared that it would take a long time to establish myself on this platform and that it would just be a really slow process. As I was clueless about what to post, one day, I sat down and actually made a list of all the topics I could post about but then again, I thought to myself that some day I will probably run out of topics and then it would get so boring that I would eventually quit using steemit.

Anyway, after setting up my profile, I started researching about steemit further. I then joined the newcomer’s community. After I got my achievement 1 verified, I began exploring different communities on steemit. Gradually, after posting 2-3 publications and making some mistakes, I started to the get the hang of it. One thing that really surprised me here was how welcoming everyone was. Not only steemit has an entire community dedicated to newcomers like me but some fun and informative tasks for us to do as well to us get started.

I didn’t expect the communities to be so well maintained or to see their plans being executed in such a systemic order. Other than that, what I found the most exciting was the weekly contests held by the communities. Cherry on top was when I discovered that communities select top 5 posts every day and they get support from big accounts. The highlight of my journey so far was receiving a vote from steamcurator01 within the 1st week of creating my account. That just felt like the biggest achievement and gave me so much hope and motivation. It made me understand that if you’re content is good quality wise and you work hard then you will definitely be appreciated and supported here.

My most favorite communities here are Steemit Pakistan, Steam Kids and Steem Women Club. Through these wonderful communities I get to interact with people belonging to different parts of the world which otherwise would not have been possible. I also love how all the CRs, admins and moderators are so hardworking and honest with their jobs. They all do their best to help and guide their people and to make their communities stronger.

Steemit has really turned out to be the best platform having the best members. It has transformed my life for the good. It has made me hopeful and motivated, something which was previously lacking in my life. I’m now starting to obsess over it. I find myself exploring new communities and searching for different contests to take part in. My current target right now is to increase my steem power and reputation so that I can take part in crypto academy as soon as possible. Through that community, I'm eager to learn in depth about blockchains and cryptocurriencies.

I do know there’s still a lot more to steemit that I haven’t figured out yet. Surely, my passion for learning will get me to those things someday. :)

Thank you for reading my post!
I now invite @eshacheema786 and @aaliarubab to take part in this contest.
