The mind, body and soul are all interconnected. Whether you see it from the Islamic perspective or not. If any one of these tree things are affected, our health all together is affected.

Now lets talk about mind and body first.

Being a medical student myself I know very well how both the mind and the body depends upon each other.
The autonomic nervous system, the peripheral nervous system, the endocrine, and the immune system are all linked with our emotions.
People usually link heart with emotional behaviour and whatnot but in reality its the hormones that play a huge part in all this. Its the neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin.
You hear a disastrous news, what happens? Your heart beat spikes up, you wonder whats happening? The heart's work is to only regulate the blood flow. But what causes the heart beat to increase? دیکھیں یہ سمجھنا بہت آسان اور بہت ضروری ہے۔ اپنے خبر سنی کیسے ۔سنی؟ اپنے کان سے، وہاں سے پیغام آپکے دماغ تک گیا اُسنے دل کو میسیج بھیجا جس وجہ سے دل کی دھڑکنے تیز ہوئی اور آپکے حواس باختہ ہوئے۔
I specifically wrote this part in urdu so that it gets easier to understand. I am not just writing this as a weekly engagement post, Isleiy likh raha hun kyunke ye topic samjhna bohat zurori hai.
So the mind and body rely on each other a lot.
Now there are excercises to keep your mind and body healthy.
For example:
Physical excercises like running and keeping your heart healthy.
Meditating and keeping your mind healthy

MEMORY IMPROVEMENT

Memory is a vital part of the body. If your memory is week you probably are useless. People with dementia and amnesia, what do you think they do with their lives? It's a pitiful life. So how about we start doing something about our memories while we're still young?
The first step is:

DIET

diet plays A MAJOR role in all our bodily functions. Yes. It does. Start eating less sugar. Move towards fish and coral oils. Start focusing on weight loss. Don't consume any drugs.

SECONDLY

Excercise your brain. Start practicing mindfullnes. Sit still and try to focus on you surroundings. Keep your brain healthy. Keep your eyes healthy. Start playing brain games. This will increase your cognitive skills

THIRDLY

start taking rest. Do not overburden your body. Do not over burden your mind. You deserve rest. You cant conquer the whole world in a day. Your mind and your body deserve some rest.

Now coming towards the SOUL

You must have heard this dialogue.

If your soul is corrupt, you all together are corrupt

Soul is a myth for some and the path to guidance for some. You HAVE to take care of your soul. And how do you do that? I believe by doing good deeds. By being virtous, by showing piety. By having tawakkul in Allah. By avoiding bad deeds. By helping the needy. These are all the things that will keep your soul healthy. Health of soul is as important as the health of the mind and body.
If you're soul-less you're useless.

Being a medical student myself I know very well how both the mind and the body depends upon each other.

I'm not a medical student but I studied a lot about these things. But still I'm having a lot of difficulties nowadays that's why I'm thinking not to take part in the contest :(

Mostly people take burden or we could say over burden as you mentioned above which is a big reason of memory loss.

What personally i think is when you take up alot of responsibilities ( there are much things in your mind ) which altogether gets mixed up causing memory loss.

Not a medical student but it's my observation and experience so it might be wrong lol :)
