I'm good, Alhamdulillah, and hope you guys are also good as well and enjoying your lives. You guys are truly welcome to my post in this splendid community but before I start thanks a ton that you guys spare some time and giving a read of my post. So, without wasting time let's start!
Introduction to UI/UX design:
Design is everything we see and visit many websites on the internet daily. like, restaurant websites, food websites, etc. the one thing which can attract the user is design. design is very important in today's internet world. suppose you have good experience in Backend programming you develop websites that can be fully efficient but you don't know the frontend. so, what will happen your website can not attract users because of its bad design. that's how the concept of UI/UX design comes.
What is UI design?
it stands for User Interface. the first interface which can be seen by the user is UI design. let's understand with an example: suppose you open a Steem official website you will see a cool interface like background color which is blue, some transitions, a header, and footer, etc. this is the UI design that you will experience. see in the image:
What is the UX design?
It stands for User Experience. the user experience design is the human psychology and humans interactions with the designs. the UX design describes the behavior of the user. it also tells us what type of user reached on your sites. like I have explained the above example of the Steem website. if you will notice the color of this website is blue which attract the users and if a user visits this website they read all over text which will be explained on the website.
How to Become a UI designer?
there are four things that require you to become a UI designer. so, let's see what they are
1. Masters in color schemes:
Color is the communication in the designs. if you know the color schemes and play with them and create an awesome color combination so, you are the UI designer because the combination of the colors is very important.
2. Typography:
It is a very very important thing in UI design. In typography, you play with the font size, font family, and font colors, space between fonts. these all things are enough to make you a UI designer.
3. Space, Grids & Layouts:
The third thing is the Layout, Grid system. if you know a grid system in UI design means what is the best position to apply design in your grid that grabs the user attractions. after the grid system, you will also know the spacing, layouts, etc. these all terms are very important in UI designs.
4. Tools:
If you are familiar with designs so you know what is the tool and its advantage. there are many tools are available to develop a design. like:
I. Adobe photoshop.
II. AdobeXd.
III. Figma.
IV. Sketch.
these all tools are used to create a design but if you are a beginner UI designer. so, my advice is you don't focus to learn these tools. only focus on the first two points because they are the backbone of the designs. tools are very easy to learn the main point is the design which is very important.
there are many websites which you will visit and create your ideas.
My experience In UI designs:
I am also a beginner UI designer. I learn UI designs from the DigiPakistan program. At the very beginning of this course, I made a design in my notebook with paper and pencil. but now I start to learn the tool. AdobeXd is the tool that I learn to create a design. currently, I am working on the assignment which is given by the teacher. here is my design it is not complete yet:
