These issues are not in Karachi only, whole Pakistan is deeply immersed in corruption. Karachi is the biggest and most populated city that's why crime rate is automatically higher there.

I spent two years in Karachi and in that time, I found it far more peaceful and welcoming than portrayed on media.

We stayed out late night and never feared about being mugged. I don't know if it was luck or at that time Karachi was actually peaceful.

But since you have always been in Karachi so you must have seen all good and bad times.

I have seen robberies happening in securest places. I think, it's all about integrity which is lacking in us as a nation. We can't blame our leaders, they are people just like us, people from among us.

We need to chage ourselves first and stop blaming what others do.

There's corruption in Police because elites buy their integrity, talking about bribery here.

But I guess, that's what happens when the armed forces live in secured boundary walls, leaving the whole city on its own. How ironic is this? Armed forces are here to protect us yet they live in secured societies, with guards all around them, sleeping peacefully while the whole city burns.

It is not armed forces job to interfere in interior matters/ crimes until called upon by the civil administration. Armed forces are there to protect borders of the country not to solve internal crimes.

An armed personnel is at 24x7 job risking his life. He is at the borders, or running other life threatening jobs for the peace of country all the time. He comes home for sleeping and sometimes after weeks or months so he doesn't actually live in the secured walls but yes his family does live. So that he can perform his job with more concentration having not to worry about his own family. His family generally includes a young wife and a small child living far from immediate family at unknown and sometimes deserted station where she doesn't know anyone personally and doesn't know when his husband will come or where he is.

Living in uncertainty is seriously not so fun.
