Introduction

Steemit is a platform where users are allowed to express themselves as long as it's free of plagiarism. The only time they are tasked to think outside the box is during contests, hence this contest.

Indeed the statements are up for critical thinking. There are a lot of shades to throw on the statements, some of which are positive while the others are negative.

That being said, the focus should be more on the positive side. Positivity should be shown more than negativity. That being said, these are my views on the statements highlighted above.

I want to point out that, they're my personal opinions, subject to critics. It's not intended to give any form of advice. It's for pleasure reading only.

Votes are not Guaranteed

Steemit blockchain is a social blockchain. It can be likened to every other social media handle out there noting its own significant and unique features it possesses.

When people create accounts on different social media handles, they intend on posting their pictures and write-ups (if any) with no hope of being paid.

Payment comes on a whole different level. It requires a whole new set up which is accompanied by the number of followers you get and all that.

My point exactly is that people should use that same mindset to enter the steemit blockchain. If they enter just to get paid, they'll abuse the system and if not properly protected, could risk the funds of users and authors.

Votes by Steemcurator01 are based on merit not guarantee. It should be earned through hard work. It shouldn't be capitalized upon.

Calling out steemcurator01 on your posts is so wrong. This compounds their notifications and pisses them off. You could end up not getting any vote for days.

Also, based on the voting power on steemcurator01, the account holder cannot measure up to curate every article that comes its way.

The account holder takes time to go around communities, curating and commenting as much as they can.

Over-stressing the account with numerous votes can affect the voting power, making it longer time to recover to vote more.

Create quality content, interact with other authors, buy STEEM, and don't depend on steemcurator01 to curate your post. It only brings about unnecessary depression and disappointment.

Consistency is key on the blockchain. The more visible you are through interaction and engagements, the more likely you'd be noticed and rewarded appropriately.

Punishment never has a good effect

Image.png

In Africa, particularly in Nigeria, punishment is like our parent's love language to us. In the long run, some of us turn out to be well-refined adults while others, the opposite.

images (24).jpeg
Link

Truth be told, punishment doesn't affect the punished positively. It only aggravates and increases the anger level in the person.

You'll see them repeating the wrong that they were being punished for over and over again. They've programmed their mindset in the direction of after all I'll still be punished.

There's no need to punish a child when he or she does wrong. The child made the wrong under the impression that it was right.

Once the elder one realizes this wrong, the best and most uncomplicated thing to do is bring the child close and correct them lovingly.

images (25).jpeg

For adults who do wrong, monitored therapy should be the solution. There's this saying, two wrongs cannot make a right.

What this simply means is that: The child's action is wrong, and punishing the child is wrong. The effect of the punishment vetted on the child is negative.

In recent times, you see teachers or guardians in a bid to correct the child through punishment, end up beating the child or ward to death. The worst part is, that most of them get away with the deaths of these children.

Or is it husbands/wives beating their spouses in a bid to correct them. It's a clear form of physical abuse. Their children see these actions thinking it's right, they grow up with this abusive mindset causing a nuisance in society.

Money is more important than Love

Image.png

It was difficult for me to pick this topic because I'm a firm believer in love. But then, what's love without money to support it.

Lack of love doesn't stop the supply of money but lack of money stops the supply of love. A lot of relationships are hanging on the thread once the money supply is cut off.

A man could love a woman unconditionally just because she's rich and vice versa. In that situation, looks don't matter. Their motivation is as long as he or she has money they're ok.

That's the Gospel truth. Love doesn't pay the bills. Love doesn't put food on the table. Love doesn't maintain communication. Love doesn't do what money does.

There is a countless number of people that are married or are in a relationship with their partner because of the money.

What annoys me most is that many of them especially the girls leave everything they have just to follow the money. There's no plan to save or invest, just spend.

Once the man's supply of money is cut off, they end up going from top to bottom. Their case will be likened to the recent crash in the price of the Luna coin.

It's that bad for most people. They begin searching for the next man that can fund their needs. They don't need to love the person.

There are a lot of loveless marriages and relationships that exist in this world. They are only there for the money.

What the world sees is a family that has money. They don't see a family that lacks love. So the best thing is, to have money first, love is part of the package that comes with having money.

Conclusion

Image.png

Before I started this post, I made mention that it was my personal opinion I was sharing. It's my best way of defending the statements. I chose them because they're so relatable to me.

Sort:

It's true punishment doesn't affect the punished in any positive way. It only aggravates and increases the anger level in the person. We should find means to make people learn from their mistakes

Yes. I don't even like getting punished. Just talk to me calmly and I'll listen and learn. Aggressiveness can be very unhelpful.

No money no honey! I have heard this words severally and now I understand it better from your defense.

Punishment makes the receiver bitter at heart. This is true talk.

Votes are not guaranteed, that's has been out watch word. It is important so that we can not commit steemit suicide when the expected is not forthcoming. Thanks for your entry

I expect people to just make the best out of writing instead of waiting to be rewarded like it's a birth right.

Money is the main stay in our lives. Without it we wouldn't be motivated to do anything. Meaning, without money, we wouldn't be motivated to love.

Thank you for visiting.

Defending according to your viewpoint is important and you did well doing so.
If cannot stand up for what we think life will be even less fair.

Woow I love the way you have defended your last statement about Money is more important than love

Lack of love doesn't stop the supply of money but lack of money stops the supply of love. A lot of relationships are hanging on the thread once the money supply is cut off

Enfact you have sealed it all here because this is the bitter truth about this matter. Two people can genuinely love each other but I don't think the love can be solid without money. So money is the King 👑🤣🤣

As for the aspect of votes not being guaranteed, I think you have given good points and that's simply the reasons why votes are never guaranteed here in Steemit

Thanks so much for this valuable input @beckie96830, I wish you all the best in this Contest

Yes ohh. I just coined the statement and it actually made sense. Lack of money is everything. Just have money and you'll be happy.

What more can I say.
You've said a lot mate.
As I always say, the expectation of vote will disappoint you, write freely with no strong attached
It had been an anthem from way back
votes are not guaranteed

Punishment, hmmm
I could not agree less, it's a love language in Nigeria. Parents believe as long as you are flogged, the pain will make you do the right thing whereas in most cases it turns out wrong
Punishing a child leads to hatred.

If I hadn't read your entry I would have missed alot
Thanks for your quality opinion which I agree with.

As a Nigerian, you'd agree with me that punishment is indeed a love language in Nigeria. I wonder why they even think that way.
