The Proposal Defense That Didn’t Go as Planned|| 10% Beneficiary to @steem-nations

Today was one of the most important days out of 3 years at our university the proposal defense day. We had to present three projects for the upcoming year to the jury and at least one of them had to be accepted.
But unfortunately things did not go as we had planned.

Our proposal defense was at the North Campus instead of the main campus, which is an hour's drive from our place. Getting there was a task but luckily my friend's uncle dropped us off. We had been assigned a jury and our proposal defense was supposed to start at 9:15 AM so we arrived at the campus by 8:50 AM. Then we waited for our group members and it turned out that the jury members had not arrived yet either.

In the morning the campus had a different vibe. Everywhere students were practicing their pitch presentations. It was a hectic scene because our entire year depended on the acceptance of this one project. Anyway, as soon as our jury arrived we went inside the room . There were supposed to be three jury members but only two teachers showed up. We started presenting our pitch and after we explained our idea, the jury members pointed out that the amount of work seemed too little for a year-long project. They also mentioned problems with the features. We tried our best to defend our project emphasizing how it could address the real time problem we were tackling.

It took us a full hour to defend our proposal and we were somewhat successful. Two teachers were in our favor but the major problem arose when we were asked to incorporate machine learning into our project, as it is a four year course and we are only in our third year. We explained that it was not our mistake but assured them that we are quick learners and can handle it. After an hour of defense, we were asked to add some features and were told to return at 1 PM to finalize everything.

From 10:30 to 1:00 we researched additional features studied the material added them to the proposal, finalized a new proposal with fresh concepts and then got it printed.

After all the groups were done we were waiting for our turn. But then our plan got messed up. When we entered the class, one of the teachers had an urgent matter to attend to, so he left. There was only one teacher left in the room. We showed him our proposal, he went through it and said, "I can't sign this alone, and the other jury members have already left. Let's move this to Monday, and INSHALLAH we'll finalize it then. You still have time to add anything else if you want so feel free to add more features

So now we're stuck in the middle and our day got extended to Monday. We're just waiting for the next meeting on Monday, hoping for a posotive final decision.
