As someone with average brand consciousness, I find myself somewhere in the middle of the spectrum when it comes to brand awareness. I’m not completely loyal to a particular brand, but I also can’t entirely ignore the importance of a brand when making purchasing decisions. For me, the brand is one of many factors I consider, but it’s not the sole determinant.

When buying something like a smartphone, I tend to choose well-known brands like Samsung, Apple, or Xiaomi. I believe these brands have a good reputation and offer quality products. However, I’m not hesitant to explore other brands if there’s a better offer in terms of price or features. For instance, if I find a smartphone with similar specifications but at a more affordable price from a lesser-known brand, I would seriously consider it. To me, the quality of the product is more important than just the brand name.

I also feel that my brand consciousness isn’t always driven by a desire to maintain social status or showcase my identity through brands. I’m more pragmatic in my approach to brands. I see the brand as a kind of quality assurance, but it’s not the main factor that determines my choice. If there’s a newer or lesser-known brand offering better value, I wouldn’t hesitate to try it.

When it comes to trying new products, I tend to be quite flexible. While I do have preferences for certain brands in some product categories, like clothing or electronics, I remain open to experimenting with other brands in different categories. I believe that by trying out new brands, I can find products with the best value without being too attached to a single brand.

However, I also realize that my average level of brand consciousness makes me susceptible to the influence of advertising and market trends. Sometimes, I’m swayed by compelling marketing campaigns or by my friends’ opinions about a particular product. Nevertheless, I try to remain rational and make decisions based on what I truly need and the value the product offers, rather than just because the brand is popular.

In the end, I feel comfortable with my approach to brands. I appreciate brands that have proven themselves, but I’m also ready to try something new if it offers better value. For me, this flexibility is key to being a smart and adaptable consumer in a constantly changing market.

But often everything is determined by how much money is in the pocket and available to spend after deducting all the worries about future threats.

Thanks, really appreciate it.

If it comes to phones we all use a case. You can't see the thing. I'm fine with everything, no need to take photos, no banking or such just a call in case of need. My Samsung lasted over 8 years, my mom had the same and it was broken from the first day on. She gave me my first and my second phone so in 7 years I'll see.
It's all the same we go for what we need most, within the budget + longest warrantee

... within the budget + longest warrantee

Yes, in the end, money decides. Haha.

Thank you, @xiao-aine, for your comment. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to respond to your comments and those from others, especially @wakeupkitty, as frequently lately. This is due to my workload at the office. And I'm also currently handling a program that monitors the progress of participants, in one of the communities. At the same time, I've been given the responsibility to monitor the community's overall progress, which I document in biweekly reports, in addition to regularly hosting contests (currently, I'm hosting two contests, though one is through a community account).

I'm also doing something similar in another community. So, this is indeed quite time-consuming, but I enjoy it.

I enjoy organizing the contests and running this program because it helps me not only monitor their progress in terms of statistics but also gives me the opportunity to educate them on things like Markdown, proper image sourcing, how to find acceptable images for Steemit, and so on.
