I am so delighted to make my entry in this wonderful community. Participating in contests is a good way to sharpen one's knowledge. Especially the ones organized by this noble community. Thank you @steemit Pakistan for this wonderful contest about my journey in steemit. Honestly, I have not sat down to think about my journey so far. I am always on the move without thinking about where I am coming from. But with this contest, I can do that right now. Please follow me as I tell you about my journey in steemit so far.

My username is @ngoenyi. I started bear g it as a username when I signed up for steemit just this year in the month of July 2020 , just 3 months ago. Just like a journey of a million miles that begins with a step, my journey began when on 26th of July, I decided to join.

What do I mean?
I have been investing in so many online businesses to support myself and my family. I also engage in other forms of offline businesses. However, some online businesses requires referrals. I decided to search through my whatsapp contacts so as to send some links to them. I did so to several of them including my current mentor @focusnow. The link I sent to him was actually about gram free.

He later after sometimes replied me, I mean @focusnow, he told me that he knew about gram free but it takes time to actually benefit from them. It requires a whole lot of time and efforts. He now told me about steemit. He explained a whole lot about it and gave me an assurance that, whatever efforts I will put in steemit will be rewarded in no small measure. With all the instances he gave me, I decided to give it a trial. Now how do I begin? I seriously needed to be guided because my kind of person, I hate embarrassment and I wouldn't like to write anything that at the end of the day, I will not find happiness. He promised to mentor me.

Because of how convincing he sounded that day which was on 24th July, 2020 to be precise, I signed up the same date and by 25th, of the same month, which is the following day, I posted my introduction post. Amazing isn't it? To be sincere, all these sounded as if I was in a dream. I was very afraid that along the line I may not know what to write and how to go about it. I really disturbed @focusnow but never foe a day did he get too busy to respond to me or come to my rescue. He encouraged me to join in the diary game season 2 which began on 1st August, 2020. He told me what and what I needed to include and how to go about it. I started with it.

After about the 5th day I told him that I don't know if I can be able to go ahead with this game. My fear was that, since it was daily, I may not meet up considering my status as a wife and mother. But he calmed me down, he reassured me that I can do it that is not a big deal, that there is nothing there. That instead any day I could not meet up, no problem but at least in the next day I should try. Hmm, with that motivation, I rekindled my zeal.

Next, he encouraged me about investing in steem. He told me the benefits. I accepted and powered up with the little money I had at hand then which was 10000 in Nigeria naira. I powered up about 93 steem. I continue pushing. On September 4th,i completed my achievements posts in the newcomers community. After some times, I lost some cash in some online platforms that I invested in. I cried to @focunow and he sympathised with me and still told me that I can invest in steem, that I will not meet up with such disappointment. I decided to invest so as to power up. I invested 34000 naira which I used in powering up about 419steem on 1st October.

About #SPUD4STEEM, this was a historic event in my journey on steemit. I can not end my writing without mentioning it. It was also @focusnow that adviced me that since I have such amount of steem for power up. I should wait and power up by 1st October to take advantage of that promotion. The idea sounded very real to me. Without hesitation, I accepted it. He told me how to apply and everything I needed to do. I followed his advice systematically to the last and guess what? I made it to 4th place check it out here
I was so excited. My community members rejoiced with me as well. I couldn't believe it. There are still other contests that I have won in this steemit, the most recent of it all is the one that @rishabh99946, yes I mean you, that has hosted this particular contest that I am writing now. I won 1st place and you rewarded me with 15steem. Interesting, isn't?
Truly speaking, if I am given the opportunity to continue, it will take endless because my journey is still continues, I have not ended up yet and I am not planning to.

However, my journey has not been without mountainlike obstacles , ranging from power failure, data subscription, phone damage and repair, sleepless nights thinking about how to create a good content and improve, bending down to learn after a long time of graduating from higher education, hmm, just to mention but these ones but ,but take note that whatever sacrifices and problems I have encountered along the way, can never be compared to the joys that have accrued so far. It dwarfs in comparison to the gains.

I have seriously been assisting new ones to sign up as well as encouraging inactive ones to come back. Recently, I have been able to encourage a discouraged one @ninapenda to return and she is active again.

I know that I still have more to learn and I am very humble to welcome any training or advice, or suggestions that can help me improve more especially in the area of crytocurrencies.

And what is more, I owe my existence in steemit to @focusnow for his relentless efforts on me. I thank @cryptokannon for his assistance to the newbies in the form of achievements and the materials needed to complete them. I will not forget @kiwiscanfly, @stephenkendal ,@steemcurator1, @steemcurator2, @steemcurator3 @steemcurator4, @steemalive, @steemitblog, @steemchiller, @futureshock, @roadofrich, @justyy, and a host of others too numerous to mention. Thank you all for your support.
So far so good, I can say that my journey in steemit started as a toddler I was then 3 months ago and @focusnow has been directing me as I keep taking each steps. I believe in gradual process to enable me understand more about steemit.
