Most stories have been published before they were made in to Movies or TV Series. When a Story book turns in to a Series or a movie, it's impossible to include each and every incidents in the book. You would know that if you've read Harry Potter Book series.

The latest Netflix's Book Adopted Web series is " Shadow and Bone". There was a big rival when it was arrived. It's because the book series used for it is one of the best selling Young adult fantasy book series, The Grisha Trilogy.

The Grisha Trilogy

First season of "Shadow and Bone" was released on 23rd April. This series had a good fan base even before it was released. It's because of the book series, Grisha Trilogy which was written by Leigh Bardugo. Ben Barnes, Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux and Freddy Carter are the main actor and actresses of the series.

Main Cast

I can say briefly what's gonna happen in the series but you won't get it. The series is based on a parallel universe. Let's start talking about this world.

The Map of Grishaverse

First look at this map. This is the relevant map for the story. You can see Four main Kingdoms. But in the first season, the story tells us only about Three Kingdoms ..

Ravka - The middle area. It has been divided for two parts by "The Fold" which is an area where darkness rules. So Northern part can't reach the sea or harbour without crossing "The Fold". The people are lot more similar to Russians.

Fjerda - The Upper kingdom. They are in a war with Ravka. They are open for Sea. People are lot more similar for normal Caucasians.

Shu Han - The kingdom on the south. They are also in a war with Ravka. They are lot more like Mongolian people.

Kaz, Inej and Kasper; A Gang from Kerch

The sea of this story is named as "The True Sea" and there's an island named "Kerch". It's ruled by gangsters. People from every Kingdoms living in it. The most special Kingdom is Ravka. There are people who have magic powers. They call it "Small Science." Grisha are the ones who have Magic powers. There are a few types of Grisha and there are sub varieties too.

• Materialki - Order of Fabricators
  • Durasts - They can create weapons using given materials. They are the ones who make weapons. Also they are the ones who made the Bulletproof Uniform, "Kefta" which all Grisha wear.
  • Alchemi - They can create useful chemicals using given materials and compounds.
  
  A Healer

• Corporalki - Order of Living and Dead
  • Healers - The ones who can heal wounds and bleedings from their Small Science
  • Heartrenders - They can control Someone's or Some people's heartbeat. They literally can kill people using their Small Science.
  • Tailors - Least powered Corporalki people. They can heal small wounds, erase scars and change the appearance of the skin.

• Etherialki - Order of Summoners
  • Inferni - The ones who play with fire. They are useful in Fights.
  • Tidemakers - The ones who play with water. I really didn't see much if them.
  • Squallers - The ones who can control air. They are very useful. They are the ones who drive Ships by making wind. They are also useful in fights.

  There are two more types of Grisha. But they are very rare.

• Shadow Summoner - A Grisha who can bring darkness where he can control dark matter in it.
• Sun Summoner - For most people, this was only a myth. Sun Summoner is the one who has the power of Sun. And he's the one who can destroy "The Fold" and bring peace for Kingdoms.

For each and every Grisha, there's a thing called "Amplifier." It can be anything from Ring, Glouse to Soulmate or an Animal.

So in this story, Non - Grisha Ravkan girl, Alina Starkov is found as to be a "Sun Summoner". This happens while she was crossing "The Fold" with a crew. Many groups of people want to capture her. But they don't know how powerful can she be with proper training. And she gets Proper Training at West Ravka. And things get weirder and weirder after that.

I really enjoyed the series. I think a reader of this book series can really enjoy this series. Graphics are top notch. I really like the old look throughout the series. The story never gets boring but I felt boring a bit at the middle but then it was ok.

Ratings

It's been only Three Weeks since its release and look at those numbers. Spectators really loved it. Who won't like a Fantasy Horror mixed, twisted love story?? So I can highly recommend this series for you. Hope you'll enjoy it...
