I said you in a previous post that we started making a nelum pot for our garden. Part 01. This is how we continued it from where we left. We made the pot and the remainder was to make a stand for it and to remove the pot from the mould and conditioning it up to the usable level.

After drying, we removed the pot from the sand structure. It was good in shape and we added a cement layer(without sand) around it. Then we had to let it dry again. While it was drying we started making the stand.

The first method we used was not good enough so that we kept them to use for another purpose. Then my father made a structure out of wood with the shape of a rectangular block. There is a space between two different sized rectangular pipe shape blocks and we added cement mixture into this and let it dry. After drying we removed the wood outer layer. let it dry further.

While it was drying, our pot was ready and we added water and some coconut husks to the condition it. This takes time usually so we kept it aside until it was ready. After some time, my brother had removed water and husks and washed it.

Almost done. We made a place to keep that in the garden and brought 3 parts to the front. To place on the top of the stand, we took a part from what we made earlier as the stand.

We assembled parts together and levelled them. I had to fill water into the pot as the boys did the assembling part. The fun part was we could not wait until the rain stopped. We did the word while raining. And with few minutes all set.

We need to plant some water plants and then add some fish. We put a deal to find some water flowers in the evening. I will tell you about that later. Until then, Goodbye all.
