Got Addicted to a New Song ! | Another New Song to Playlist😍

Am I the only one who get addicted to an unknown song that comes to ear accidently? I usually hear a song accidently, google for it, find the song and listen to it. Then think about the hidden meaning under the words, find the visual from the YouTube and find other guessed meanings in the comment section. Then, find reviews on that, read them and compare my thoughts on that. Listen again and again until it sound itself inside my mind. Am I crazy?

With time, find another song and same happens! Forget the previous song and again find it from the playlist sometimes later and love it as used be. Then, this is the latest one in the list. Mathaka! Mathaka means memories in sinhala. Here is the YouTube link.

I usually listen to Sinhala songs with meanings beyond their words. And this is one of them from my favourite female singer: Abhisheka Wimalaweera with her own lyrics together with senior male singer Karunarathne Divulgane. Music has been done by Tharindu Priyankara De Silva.

The theme of the song is based on a male and two females. One female is that male actor's late wife who is still in his heart holding unbreakable love. Other female is a young one with kind of fancy playful outfits who entered to that male's life while he was still suffering from his late wife. The second one who entered to his life fell in love with him. But for him, that was not love. Though he spent time with that one, his heart searched for that old love and got separated with time.

The visuals of the song supports the meaning of the song. Personally I prefer audio only as many visuals ruin the true meaning of the song. But here, young and talented actor Hemal Ranasingha and actress Manoja Fernando do a massive job with their talents and supports the meaning of the song.

Looking at her husband's pain, she thinks that she should not have been love him like that as now he cannot tolerate the pain, he cannot move on and he cannot forget her due to her strong love. This song can be defined with different meanings by considering different characters. There are many definition in the YouTube comment section. If you are truly interested in this, I invite you all to have a look using above link. I hope language will not be a barrier to feel this.

I am glad that my mother tongue is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. 🥰 Yet I feel sad that only few people in the world speak this language within one country. 🙂
