Where we stopped yesterday? We said goodbye to the storks in the paddy field and crossed the waterway and climbed back to the road. Our next plan was to walk to the bund that is located on a side of the paddy field. There is a nice clean and an interlocked road towards the bund.

This Flood Bund

The flood bunds are made to protect the inner lands from floods. This was made in the 70s by Chines constructures. Hmm.. yes another made by Chinese property in Sri Lanka.

On the Bund

Surrounding

After the climb up to the bund we can see a nice scenery. On the left side we have the paddy field.

Left Side

From the right side, there is a nice woodland. This woodland is consist of Java Plum trees(Ma-Dam). Behind the woodland, there is a river.

Not exactly the right side. But you can see 'Ma Dam' woodland there

Green and Blue.. Green and Blue...

Wind

Evening wind is awesome. When it comes through a river and woodland? It is a moment that can't describe by words. When the Kite season comes, kids around the area visit here to play kites. Me, who lives on the mountain, count the kites in the sky.

An ant species that is native to the area

Wrong caption. 😏

Bio Diversity

Eventhough it is not a visit to observe bio diversity there were few things that I easily recognized. Sitting on the bund is something dangerous as there are many ant nests. The "Kadiya Ant" bite is very painful

An ant nest

I observed a little house surrounded by trees.. It seems no one lives there now. There was a pond in front of the house. The compound is a grassland.

The small house, pond, grasslands and screw-pine trees

I met those who I wanted to see.. Cows. Actually, there were no many cows as I expected, only 3. Even though I wanted to go closer, when the cow looked at my face I went back.

Sky

The best time to visit the bund is the evening. No sunburn in the evening. This place is good to spend your time if you feel stressed or sad.

We were there until 5.30-6.00 p.m. We enjoyed the changing color of the sky.

The sky is converting to silver but still mixed with blue. White clouds were trying to hide. Do you remember the storks who worked in the paddy field? This is their work-off time 🙂
