My house is located on a mountain. There is a view I enjoy every day by my eyes but never got a chance to visit. I was typing and typing through the day. I just wanted to skip everything and visit the place I enjoed with my eyes every day.

My brother helped me with the walk. It was about 4.00 p.m. We went on foot, climbed down the hill, and came to the place we wanted to reach.

In fact, it is nothing but a paddy field, yes I already knew that. I have visited this paddy field before 8-9 years.

Smelling Mud

Have you ever experience the unique smell of mud in a paddy field? It is not a pleasant smell but it makes you feel that you belong to the village. In these days people are digging the paddy field using tractors and hoes. So the smell is already there.

The area already planted

One half of the field is already planted and the other half is digging and planting. Here, they are planting by spreading rice seeds.

Storks

When I looking at the paddy field from our mountain, I see hundreds of storks. I wanted to have a closer look today. They were in the left side area of this large paddy field. So we walked through the road.

To get into the paddy field we had to skip from a waterway of about 1m widths. It is not deep but after adding the height of the road it was a little high. But we had to jump through it to meet storks. My brother did it easily, and me too. But when returning back, it was very difficult. Luckily I found an easy place where there is a hole in the wall. I could put my feet on it and climb up to the road.

Jumping through the waterway

Then we met storks, the white-colored ones, who I was looking at whole my day from the mountain top. As the paddy field has dug, they have enough food these days.

Water Lilies

When I look from the mountain, I see a line of well-bloomed water lilies. There is a different name for this type, it is called "Bera Olu". So now.. I am in front of them.

To reach waterlilies, I had to walk through the bunt which is called "Iwura".

Walk towards water lilies

Water lilies were on the left side. They were buds as this is the evening. There were insects jumping here and there. There were water lilies along the left side of the bunt.

Fish?

I wanted to see some fish too. I couldn't see any from my eyes, unfortunately. But I saw some boys were catching fish.

There was a net placed across the waterway with the intention of catching fish.

These few hours refreshed my lungs with fresh air even with a little muddy smell. It was a nice feeling when the wind passes by toughing my whole body. Green color ground with blue sky gave a break to my eyes from the white color screen with black texts. The sound of the breeze went through my ears and then to the brain and recalled I am lucky to be here.

As we have to go for a second destination, we said goodbye to this ecosystem. See you tomorrow with the next half!

you made me live in the area you described. 😍😍 very realistic.

this is true. This village feeling is very much missed during the hard days in the university and its surrounding. always crowded and sounds of vehicles. 😢😢 Then we realized how peaceful is my village😊😊

Carefully watch, there are many storks

Of course.. At the first I saw one. Then three. Then 😂😂😂😂.... many.
What a greeny environment 😍 I love it too much... Nice article with nice photos.. 👌👌👌

At the first I saw one.

😅😅😅😅I knew it😅😅😅😅

We who are busy in front of a computer screen and in official life and academic life are less likely to see such beautiful scenes. But people like you who live in rural areas have the ability to make time for it. What is most needed is a clear desire.
When I see the photos you have included, my mind also seems to be refreshed by the fresh air. I have not been able to walk through the fields for a long time. It is doubtful whether I will be able to relive that beautiful childhood experience of jumping out of the water and falling into the mud. However, I hope you had a wonderful time with your brother.

Yeah most of the times. It's a really nice feeling. When I'm little I run trough the mud in the paddy field, just before .

Nice articel. You have described your feelings very nicely.
