Helping Hands For A Mother to Buy a Foot Bicycle | SL Charity Project| 50% to SL Charity

Recently a mother, who I know for a time has sent me a message asking for a help to buy a foot bicycle to bring her child to the school.

In these days a new bicycle in Sri Lanka costs aproximately 45000LKR-50000LKR. I think spending that much money for a foot bicycle is a problem for most of the people in the country. Everyone is facing thousands of problems with this economic crisis. Anyhow this is the brief story of this mother.

She has two kids, eldest one is 8 years old and the youngest is 1 year. She is a single mom and her husband is separated from the family. She makes a daily living by making and selling "Wade". Her Eldest girl is schooling and there are 7km from her home to the school.

So the mother of the kid said that her kid is so tired of this walk to school and some days she misses the school due to this traveling issue. That's why she wanted to buy a foot bicycle to bring her child to the school.

Finally she has found a second hand foot bicycle for 25000LKR. She has collected 7000LKR for this and then I asked about my friends of SL-Charity about supporting this mother. They had no doubts and agreeing with supporting them.

Finally she has bought the bicycle and sent me some photos, saying million times thank you for all. Thank you everyone behind SL-Charity! This will be a huge support for the mother and the kid's education.
