SL Charity Phase 01 | Project Balangoda | project proposal | 5% For SL Charity

Hello Everybody !
It's over one month since we have started our SL Charity Project. Lot's of steemians including steem srilanka members allocated a percentage from their writings to raise funds for this beautiful concept brought up by steem srilanka community.
It became really successful and we have been able to collect the targeted funds before the time we expected.
We are launching 3 main projects in 3 places of the country

SL-Charity Monaragala: @damithudaya

I'm leading the first event at Balangoda with the help of my brother @chathux and @thimira is leading the 2nd event.

Proposed event - Providing sport equipments and learning aids to students.

Background details

Balangoda Pinnagalakanda area is a rural area on a hilltop sourrounding with mountains and full of natural beauty. The main income of the recidents are tea plantation,rubber plantation, paddy cultivation and other minor crops.

The school we selected for the project is Pinnagalakanda Maha Vidyalaya which was established in 1948 . It belongs to Weligepola educational zone.
Currently there are 19 students
Boys - 10
Girls - 9
There are five classes upto grade 5
Teachers - 3
Principal and a training teacher

All the students are sinhala students. They are from both low income and middle income families. School is on a single hall with minimum facilities. Kids from age 6-10 in the village receive education from this school.

Proposed Event

I discussed with my members of SL Charity and came up with Idea of providing learning aids to the students as we think those little kids deserve good facilities in their school.

Few days ago I contacted the principal of the school and ask him about the needs of the school.
He mentioned that they need some sport equipments for kids to play and It will be really help for students.

We discussed, collected the ideas of members and prepared a list of equipments that we can provide.

Yesterday I went for shops and got a quotation for our equipment list.
We decided to give them some learning aids as well for each student's to make them more happy.

Expected Cost

Our total budget for event 1 is 20000 Rupees nearly 100$ .

Objective

There's thousands of kids all over the world without any proper facilities for their education . We think It's totally worth it to full fill the needs of those kids as much as we can and help those little flower buds to bloom and glow the world
Not only that we are arranging many more projects to make lives happy as much as we can.

Time line

Project idea - April 1st
Getting a quotation - April 4th
Buying Equipments and packing - April 6th
Event day - April 7th

Event Venue - R/ Pinnagalakanda Maha Vidyalaya - Balangoda

Time - 10-12 A.M
