You may remember a few months back, there was a huge discussion about privacy. ‘Whatsapp’ the popular messaging app forces us to accept their new privacy policy to continue using their app and services. Those policies focus too much on user data. Lots of people got confused and took action against WhatsApp. Because of that reason their policy update was postponed.
We are living in the Data age. That means user data is more valuable than oil. When big companies have a monopoly over some online fields they try to gain more control and collect more and more user data which is unethical.
Here the major issue is WhatsApp is trying to share data with their parent company Facebook. Facebook is known as the biggest user data harvester in the tech field. The users of WhatsApp were not happy about this situation. Because of that, privacy-focused telegram, signal-like messaging apps came into the discussion.
You may wonder why I am writing this article now? There is a reason for that. The postponed WhatsApp update is expected to release on May 15th. Like the last time, there won’t be an option to disagree with the privacy statement. In there they are willing to ask us again and again to accept this statement. If not, they will limit the WhatsApp app functionality little by little and at last, you won’t be able to use the app. Checkmate!

For me also it is very hard to move away from this app because lots of my friends and family members use this app. It is safe to say that these tech companies are kind of ruling the world right now. The power is getting bigger and bigger. As for end-users, I have to take some actions to convince them to do the right things. If you do not trust them, I suggest you use a privacy-focused app like telegram or signal.
It is so difficult for me to shift completely to another app from whatsapp since I don't find any of others comfortable as whatsapp. So sad but we all have to move away and do something😥
Yes. That's the problem. Everyone is using Whatsapp. So quiting is very difficult.

Mobile operating systems like ios introduced a feature called 'app tracking transparency'. This avoids Facebook to use other apps data for advertising purposes. I think it can be a major reason for implementation of this whatsapp new privacy policy. It's unfair. But to run their advertising model, they need user data. That's why....
Omg! Actually I spend most of the my time in WhatsApp. It's an easy feasy app for me. Let's see what happened 💚😏

This is the biggest problem I have too😥. But what are the other apps which we can easily use without WhatsApp?
We have signal and telegram. But most of our family and friends are not using those apps. That's the problem😟

WhatsApp has gotten into many people's lives. I think it is time to say good bye... but it is hard because all the groups and friends are connected through WhatsApp.
I think quiting is not a good option. We have to be smart than them. you know what I mean!😆
