What happened in the Paris Olympic? - Part I

Hello, fellow Sports Enthusiasts,

It's been a memorable 16 days of sports with remarkable achievements, and historic moments. We witnessed the shattering of World records, the rise of new sensations, the continuation of winning streaks, upsets, and surprises, full of emotions and course a few viral memes.

Eventhough there were some controversies in the opening ceremony and organizing, we had our sporting experience at its best!!!

Cosing Ceremony!!!.

Before the start, I shared some interesting details of the tournament here, The Olympics are just around the corner. With a grand closing ceremony at Stade de France with the performance of Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, etc the torch passed to Los Angeles for 2028.

• After a close competition with China until the last day, The United States won the overall medal count at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with the number of golds being the same for the two champion countries. While the USA dominated swimming, track and field, and basketball, China was just incredible in table tennis, diving, and gymnastics.

While Japan secured the third place, we saw a sheer uplift from team Australia. Albania, Saint Lucia, Cape Verde, and Dominica won their first ever Olympic medal here.

• Who thinks memes can't get the attention for something? I'm a big fan of shooting for these two, who became overnight internet sensations. After breaking the world record, South Korean shooter Kim Yeji took the world's attention with her calm and cool aura.

Then comes the Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec who was breaking the internet. He had no special instrument, just two earbuds, calm and casual, hand in the pocket and still winning the silver medal.

• Artistic Gymnastics is always a passionate game in the Olympics and Simone Biles always came around as one of the greatest American athlete. After a dominating win in Rio Olympics with 4 golds and silver, she withdrew in the Tokyo. And here it was a great comeback from her bagging another 03 golds and a silver.

• Pool was as much as amazing this year as well. First we saw a sensational newcomer from France, Léon Marchand who reminded me much of the great Micheal Phelps. He bagged 4 Golds and one bronze, breaking Phelp's 400m and 200m World records. Other than that, Torri Huske from the US won 3 golds and 2 silver, Mollie O'Callaghan from Australia won three golds, a silver and a bronze, and ZHANG Yufei from China won 6 medal (5B and 1S), grabbing most medals in the Paris Olympics.

Then comes the Katie Ledecky from USA grabbed another 2 golds, a silver, and a bronze becoming the most decorated female American in Olympic history with 9 golds, 4 silver and a bronze. And she won the gold medal in the 800m freestyle for the fourth consecutive time.

• Chinese Badminton player Liu Yuchen proposed his girlfriend Huang Yaqiong after she winning the mixed doubles gold. Everything happened in this Olympics.

• Once again it showed the China's dominance in Table Tennis, with a clean sweep, for the sixth time. They won 5 golds and a silver in Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Team and Women's team.

• On the hand South Korea won all the five golds, with a silver and a bronze in Archery.
