It's her birthday | Happy Birthday Queen
It was 20/12/1963, when the most amazing woman in the world was born, my mother. A few days ago, she passed her 59th birthday! She is and will always be my guardian angel. Wishing you the best and happiest days today and every day!
She is a proud mother of 5 children. It's not an easy task to take care of all of us providing the best in the world, through various hardships. But she did it with unconditioned love.
Ironically, my graduation was held on the same day! So, I could give an amazing gift for her on a special day.
The whole family went to Colombo to participate in the ceremony. I am the only degree holder from 5 of us. So, it was an emotional and delightful day for all.
In the evening, we arranged a small party in the boarding place, where my sister is living - small cake filled with love.
උහුලන්න වෙන්නැතිද කොච්චරක් කරදර
වෙන්න පුතෙකුට අම්මෙක්,
එලොවක් මෙලොවක් කිසිවක් නොම දැන - එහෙ මෙහෙ දුව පැන දඟ කර වද දෙන
දඟකාර පුංචි පුතෙකුට අම්මෙක්...
යොමන්නට පොඩි හිතක් අකුරට,
කියා දෙන්නට ලෝකයක වග,
උගන්නන්නට හොඳ නරක දෙක,
මග කියන්නට ලොවම දිනුමට,
ගන්නැතිද ඈ කොච්චරක් වෙර...
දයාවෙන් මුළු ලෝකයක් වෙත -ප්‍රේම කරනට සියලු සත වෙත
කියා දුන්නේ ඔබයි පුතු හට...
බාරගන්නට දුක සතුට දෙක - දරාගන්නට දෙකම එක ලෙස
දිරිය දුන්නේ නුඹයි පුතු හට...
ප්‍රේමයේ උල්පතම නුඹ වග
සදාකල් මා නුඹට ණය වග
ගෙවන්නට මුළු සසර මදි වග
දනිමි ආදර මගේ අම්මේ....
නුඹ නොමැති ලෝකයක ඉන්නට
නුඹ නැතිව දින සති ගෙවන්නට
කවරදාවත් නොහැකි වෙයි මට
දනිමි මා එය හොඳින් අම්මේ...
ඉතිං අද නුඹෙ උපන්දින දා
පතන්නට සුබ පැතුම් පිරිලා.
නිරෝගී දීඝායු ලබලා
බැබලෙන්න අම්මේ - සදාකල් මගෙ රැජිනි වීලා.
ජීවිතේ තව හුඟක් දිනලා
නුඹ වෙතම මා දුවන් එන දා
වැඩිය ඈතක නොවෙන හින්දා
හිනැහෙන්න අම්මේ දැං - පැතුම් පොදි මගෙ දෙවුරෙ රන්දා...
I can't even imagine her sacrifices and commitment to raising us. All I want is to give the best for her upcoming years!

I'm saying that because I'm living with my grand parents, I love very much my grand mother and I see how much she smiled when she hear these words from my father or from me....she quickly reacts asking what do you want for dinner as a great dish with a big smile..you see how generous they are? they give everything even when receiving something. Even during her birthday party you will remark that she is looking for the one who didn't get his part of cake 🥰
