Better Call Saul
Just finished watching one of the perfect Cinematic experiences. It's a spin-off of the iconic TV show "Breaking Bad" and this is how a prequel should be done. It may or may not surpass the original one, but it surely has enriched that. Better Call Saul doesn't contain as much action as Breaking Bad, which can be boring to some people. but its storytelling, character development, the cast, and the cinematic storytelling are top-notch.
Overall, it has received 9 ratings from IMDb, and no episode has gone below 8, getting over 97% for every episode on Rotten Tomatoes shows his brilliance.
The show was created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould and aired altogether 63 episodes in 06 seasons from 2015 to 2022. The perfect execution from a perfect cast has enriched the show to this well.
Bob Odenkirk -Jimmy McGill/ Soul Goodman, Jonathan Banks - Mike Ehrmantraut, Rhea Seehorn - Kim Wexler, Giancarlo Esposito - Gus Fring, Patrick Fabian - Howard Hamlin, Michael McKean - Chuck McGill, Michael Mando - Nacho Varga, Tony Dalton - Lalo Salamanca, Mark Margolis- Hector Salamanca and the whole crew did a memorable performance overall.
In BB we see how the lawyer Soul Goodman helped Walter White to create his drug empire. By helping Mr.White and Pinkman to keep out of trouble, laundering money, and legally helping their criminal associates as well.
So, here we see his transformation from Jimmy McGill a struggling lawyer who was trying to mark his name with a natural ability to blend the law, to Soul Goodman. As I said his character development is amazing, slowly and gradually we see the events and decisions that change him.
First his complicated relationship with his brother Chuck McGill, who is a very successful lawyer, but with a psychological disorder. And also Jmmy's romantic relationship with Kim Wexler who is also a lawyer with an ethical dilemma with the show's progress. We saw a lot of their planning and execution for their benefit and in the legal case of their clients. They manipulate and blend the law.
Soul and Kim: Season 04 Episode 06
On the other hand, there is the tension and games of drug lords and Cartels. We saw a lot of Gus Fring's activities to make his empire and take his revenge. And the games and effect of badass Mike to make them possible. So, Soul's intervention with them accelerates his transformation.
Mike and NachoSeason 01: Episode 07
We saw a lot of dialogue with good depth. It takes time to develop plotlines. Unlike other prequels, it doesn't completely rely on BB. Rather than that, this helps us to understand more about it and how Saul Goodman, Mike Ehrmantraut, and Gustavo Fring played in Walter White's world.

Better Call Saul has received 53 Emmy Award nominations(for Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Writing and Direction) over the years and couldn't win a single award. It's a record with the highest number of nominations without a win. It's highly recognized as one of the greatest shows. Anyway, it received many awards outside Emmy.
