The Federal republic of Nigeria is located in West Africa and is said to be the most populated in the whole of Africa, can you believe that?

It gained her independence on the first day of October, in 1960 after being named by the British Lady, Flora Shaw.

Nigeria is named after the Niger River and is made of 36 states.

36 good states, where you could makes your pick, these states are as follows:

• Abia State
• Adamawa State
• Akwa Ibom State
• Anambra State
• Bauchi State
• Bayelsa State
• Benue State
• Borno State
• Cross River State
• Delta State
• Ebonyi State
• Edo State
• Ekiti State
• Enugu State
• Federal Capital Territory

The north is mostly dominated by the Hausas, the West by Yorubas, the East by igbos, and the South by mixed tribes.

This brings us to the language issue as you are coming into Nigeria. Well there would not be much of a problem as the official language in Nigeria is English Language and i am aware that many countries of the world speak English, although the 3 major ethnic languages are Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo, so keep that in mind.

When making your plans of travelling, you could travel by air because there are more than 30 airports in Nigeria including the Ibom Air International Airport in Akwa Ibom state, Portharcourt International Airport in Rivers state, Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos state, amongst others to your delight.

There are a lot of beautiful recreational and tourist centres to visit even more importantly, so many traditional meals i am certain your taste buds will surely love, Amala and ewedu soup, White soup, porridge, jollof rice, edikan ikong, ekpangnkukwo, e.t.c.

There are two dominant seasons, Dry (from August to February) & rainy(March to August) season.

In summary, Nigeria is a lovely place with rich cultural heritage.
